I Have Known You | v4.04 Dev Report | June 2026

Hey patrons!

It’s time for a new progress report for I Have Known You.

During the last few weeks, my focus was split between two important things: continuing work on v4.04 and preparing Steam demo for the upcoming Steam Next Fest on June 15.

So even though this period was a little different from a normal development month, there has still been a lot of progress.

v4.04 — Current Progress

The next update is already moving forward nicely.

So far, v4.04 has:

• Around 500 renders

• Around 30 animations

• Story progress for Judy, Ashley and Amy

This is the final part of Chapter 04, so I want to make sure it gets the time and care it needs.

Steam Next Fest and the New Demo

Another big part of my work recently has been the new demo.

I Have Known You will participate in the next Steam Next Fest on June 15, and for that event, we will have a demo available on Steam.

This demo will not be the same as the old one. It will include the newer version of the beginning, improved content, and some of the new systems I’ve been working on.

This is very important for the game, because Steam Next Fest can bring a lot of new eyes to I Have Known You, so I wanted the demo to represent the game in a much better way.

Exploring Events

One of the new features coming to I Have Known You is free exploring events.

These will be optional moments that unlock before the day ends. Before going to sleep, you will be able to spend some time exploring the house, researching, and discovering more about the characters and MC’s past.

For now, you will be able to navigate through three rooms:

• Your room

• The bathroom

• Amy’s room

Ashley’s room and Will’s room will be unlocked later.

The new free exploring events are already finished for almost all days, but I still want to expand them with more photos, images, and small details inside the house.

Each clickable element will unlock an extra scene, giving you more background, more character moments, and more pieces of MC’s history.

So before going to sleep, you’ll be able to explore different rooms, check objects around the house, and discover optional content that adds more depth to the story.

There will also be some NSFW content inside the free exploring events, and that content will progress further with each new day.

Some of these free exploring events will already be included in the new Steam demo, and more of them will be added with future update (v.4.04).

Character Profiles and Journey System

The character profiles and the new Journey system will also be available in the new demo.

For the main build, I paused work on making them fully compatible with old saves because I had to focus on the v4.04 content.

That said, I will try one more time to make them work properly with old saves before making a final decision.

If I can solve the logic problems in the current code base, then great. But if I can’t, I may have to ask everyone to start from the beginning when those systems are added to the full build.

I know that’s not ideal, so I don’t want to make that decision too early. I’ll try to solve it first and keep you updated.

New Molly Content

I also made a new NSFW scene with Molly at the beginning of the game, during the train section.

This scene will be available with v4.04, and it adds more weight and tension to the beginning of the story.

Also, depending on your choices, there will be another possible NSFW scene with Molly later, at Luke’s apartment.

So yes, Molly will get more content — and some of it will depend on the path you choose.

What Comes Next

Right now, my main focus is:

• Preparing for Steam Next Fest on June 15

• Continuing work on v4.04 - the Judy path - this is the scene I’m working on right now.

• New free exploring events - I have it done for almost all days, but I have to extend it with some more photos/images inside the house

• Giving the character profiles and Journey system one more serious attempt with old saves

This is a very important period for the game, especially because the demo will be seen by many new players during Next Fest so please wishlist the game on steam -> HERE.

I want the first impression to be much stronger than before.

#5 I redesigned Cairo as a character, and now she is a beauty! She will also be more present from Chapter 1 onward. I created new scenes and extended some existing scenes so she has a bigger role in the story now.

#6 Amy in her sexy outfit… how can anyone say no to her?

I know I haven’t been as active on Patreon as I wanted to be during the last few months. Development, planning, rewriting, and preparing everything took a lot of my focus, and I was quieter than I should have been.

So I really want you to know that I don’t take your support for granted.

The fact that you are still here, still supporting me, and still believing in I Have Known You means more than I can properly explain.

Your support helps me keep building this game into what I want it to become — not only bigger, but better, deeper, and more alive (rewriting past content).
