🔞 [VOTE] Which Elements Make Sexual Scenes Exciting for YOU?

Music is the hardest part. It often "makes" the scene. Or breaks it. You know what you are doing. And this comes from a sound designer.

My rank: 1. Animations (smooth, realistic movement, long loops) 2. Dialogue (nothing's worse than a NSFW scene with no dialogue!) 3. SFX/moaning (makes the scene more hot, but isn't as strictly necessary) 4. Music (great or commissioned music can really elevate the scene, but a lot of AVNs use stock tracks so that's fine) 5. Narration (dialogue should mostly remove the need for this I think)

I enjoy it when sexual scenes are a bit of a power fantasy and make the MC look great. You know... girl moans loudly, cums multiple times and MC leaves a huge lode in/on her. Bonus points points if she has sexy facial expressions and does something to show her passion like scratching MC's back or leaving other marks.

For Animations it is important that the speed matches the dialog and mood. There is nothing worse IMO than slow motion animation when the dialog and mood is intense and passionate. Also realistic body movements, and smooth loops (doesn't skip or twitch each time the loop starts). Multiple camera angles are important as well. I agree with PickerPatron, I would rather have no animation at all then rushed, poor animations.

Dotty continues to gather data ✍🏻😆: Animations ✅: yes, they change and improve everything. The difficult part is making them fluid. If they're not going to look good, I'd rather they weren't there at all. There are a few great games without animations that I still love. Sexy SFX/Moaning ✅: for me, it only works when they've been customised (so very occasionally). Sometimes they end up sounding like ASRM 😛. As Jonathan mentioned below, I didn't have a good experience with the AI or generic porn sound. Music en sex scenes ✅: I'm neutral on this, I've seen very good scenes with and without music. A little background music might help. Dialogue between characters ✅: yes, as long as it doesn't affect the animations. Inner thoughts/narration ❌: Personally, I prefer for each player to think what they want in each scene.

I'm a visual type person, so the better and smoother you can make it all look - the better.

Animations ✅️: Meh, not make or break for me. I think for myself. The sex scene should be all about the interactions between the characters. I can still enjoy a good still-render sex scene as long as the writing and direction for the scene are good. Sexy SFX/Moans ⛔️: ABSOLUTELY NOT 🙅🏻‍♂️!!! I HATE sound effects in my sex scenes. Especially when they include the bad porn audio. Music ✅️: Mood setters 😋! I can do without it sometimes, but overall, yes 👍🏻! Dialogues ✅️✅️✅️: THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD!!! You can make the most beautiful rendered model/animated sex scene, but stick it with poor dialogue. And you might as well wave in the towel and throw it in the bin 😅. I'll be like, "Oh, beautiful animations and model, but that dialogue TOTALLY ruined it. Wasn't memorable." Inner thoughts ✅️: YES!!! It's good to see our characters' thoughts and what they're feeling 🥰. Show and tell 😋. Visualize it for us 😛.
