Voted 1 to keep it in the mix. I'm tired of feeding the corruption paths in so many fad/neto/kink titles that are out there right now. 3 would be my preference in most cases and simpler to write and code. But Leap Of Faith, u4ia and Heaven's Door I've actually replayed from scratch more than 4-5 times to get all the paths in, too. Lust Theory would be the one most closely associated with my personal preference, but I've played sooooo many.... Chasing Sunsets is another.

1 + 3 = something special: a relationship that transcends the closest bonds. But please, good lord, not Where It All Began kind of "slow burn." I would like to play the game to completion in my lifetime and, honestly, when a game takes 5 years to get to that kind of content....I lost interest. I do not do well with TV shows that take years to air to a finale either, though, and prefer to watch/play completed titles at my pace. Titles I enjoyed with this, at least somewhat, dynamic (not saying they were necessarily a good game or even completed): Sisterly Love Refuge of Embers Once In a Lifetime No More Secrets/No More Money Monkey Business/Imperial Chronicles Dreaming of Dana (love Dana, find the game to be a bit of a chore, though) Just some examples. No title does it perfectly, of course.

It's always very difficult to vote because almost any option can become viable depending on the circumstances. Here, however, we can only vote for one option 😓: * Slow burn romance ✅: this is perhaps the most viable option in IHKY, applicable to Lisa and Amy at least, and fitting with the MC's personality. * Purely physical ✅: it could work with a character who is cold and unemotional, or with a supporting character who suddenly becomes popular. * Forbidden/Taboo 😎✅: I suppose it would be akin to having a relationship with a Witch and betraying your entire lineage. I haven't had any positive experiences of this in other games (I always ended up being betrayed)... but it could work 😶‍🌫️. * Seductive Power Play ❌: I find Dom/sub dynamics interesting, but the main character is very vanilla, so I don't see it as a viable option unless a MILF appears to teach him a thing or two. * Enemies to lovers ❌: this scenario is impossible because it would only work if the game spanned many seasons, enabling us to witness the bad girl's transformation over time or her possible alliance with the MC in response to an even greater threat. The MC also lacks the personality to pursue a relationship with someone evil, at least for now. * The Chase ❌: of all the options, this is the least viable. No love interest seems too complicated to acquire. It doesn't fit with the MC's calm, good and sometimes innocent personality, and therefore he will never go into predator mode.

While I'm not generally against a slow burn romance, the problem I have with those is the updates are so short it takes forever to get to the payoff.

Ngl I'm liking slow burn less and less the more AVN's I play. I'd put it near or at the bottom of this list. Wait 2+ years of real time for something that'll prob be mid or abandoned. It's just frustrating. I'm fine with it if it's limited to a couple girls in a game with a bunch of others that have MUCH faster progression tho.

However, "Forbidden/Taboo"... Of course, there can also be a happy ending here. Incest is always a very interesting and exciting topic for me, which plays a big role in a number of games (e.g. Returning to Mia, Sisterly Love). And if everything ends well, why not? 😉

For me, only the first point comes into question. I love it when a game allows for such a deep relationship and it comes to a happy ending. Almost like in real life! "Hapily ever after" 😊
