Making randomly generated dungeons?
I got a randomly generated dungeon to work finally for the mines in M0aning Meadows and was wanting to make a roguelike for it too where you pick locations to decide what you want like Death road to canada or slay the spire type of thing where you pick where to go next for what kind of resource you value. I was debating whether to make 1 really good looking map that you do a siege in where enemies keep spawning until you kill like 20 of them and you get the loot you came for at the end as a reward.
OR make a randomly generated dungeon where you walk around and explore to look for the loot and the fighting is more optional. In either case you fight and f*ck a boss at the end. The premade map looks more pretty (because it's not randomly generated lol), but the randomly generated dungeon felt more fun to play since you can explore. Which would you prefer?

I like randomized dungeons, if they're used well and not too heavily. Like for farming and such. Actual quests should stil take place in handcrafted dungeon UNLESS the game loop WAS the item farming.
Yeah! I really like both so I was letting you guys decide because fighting enemies in 1 room like in Hades is fun but exploring randomly generated dungeons for loot is also really fun. I'm super excited to make a roguelike. Something about going into a dungeon and getting absolutely fucked feels very satisfying. And now emphasis on the 2nd part!
