Get Famous - Discussion Time

Alright! Even though the "Yes" option was slightly in the lead for that last poll I decided to shut it down, due to the number of comments that felt strongly about this not being the best approach. And... all in all, that is what my initial thoughts were as well, as I felt it just might be a tad unrealistic in terms of how that system works.

What I have been doing so far with Get Famous is this:

• Made a new option for Drug Dealers to get into VIP clubs

• Made it easier for Drug Dealers to introduce themselves to Celebrities

The higher the Drug Dealers skill level, the higher chance of these interactions to be successful.
That way they can start dealing to the Stars, and actually once they get acquainted, even being seen with them in public or some social interactions with them can give you Fame Points, so if you want to venture onto the Road of Fame, that can be done by simply doing this.

So, let's talk about Reputation for a bit.

A lot of you brought up the even better idea than Fame, to utilise the reputation system.
My immediate thoughts are that dealing in itself or doing drugs shouldn't be inherently something that gives you good or bad reputation.

In terms of what I reckon should give you reputation points however;

Good Rep

• Sharing Drugs (Everyone likes generosity?)

• Laundering Money (That's the appearance of being a good citizen at least)

• Bribing the Police

Bad Rep

• Being Wasted in public

• Too many witnesses when your Sim is dealing

• Getting busted

• Exchanging sex for drugs

• Ripping off customers

Instead of making a poll about this, I would much rather you guys comment underneath this thread with your ideas. Someone already brought up the idea of Celebrity Rehab which is a fantastic idea and definitely something I'd like to add to the mod. Any and all ideas revolving Get Famous, and the reputation system in general is much appreciated so I can take a look at it when I start working on that part.
