I went through your suggestions in the suggestions thread and noticed police arrests was suggested a few times. This is something I have wanted to add in to the mix for a very long time so I finally decided to try to tackle that obstacle. I have tuned the chance of getting busted quite low, so I really hope you guys give me feedback on how you think it works, if it should be a higher chance of getting busted or not etc. 

First things first. You may need to have Get to Work and City Living installed for the busts to work properly. I have not tried it out with Base Game or without those expansions installed so it is hard for me to say. If any of you guys don't have these expansions I would love it if you gave some feedback on how it works.

Second things... well.. second. The arrest is a rabbit hole event, meaning you won't go with your Sim to jail, but he or she will disappear for several hours after the bust. For this to work I had to use the rabbit hole event for City Livings theater event. If you get invited to the Theater now you will rather be sent to the Opera.

Other than that I have continued to sort out a few fixes to problems you guys have reported on.

This should work properly again now, as there was a piece of code I forgot to add when fixing the mod.

Exchange sex for drugs fix

These interactions had an issue with gender preference, it took a few nights of almost going crazy but I finally figured it out, and this should work properly again now.  Both when being an addict and asking the CAS assigned dealer for the exchange and when asking clients when playing with one of the Drug Dealer traits (after that interaction is unlocked of course).

Removed Basemental Drugs menu from Pets

I almost forgot about this one, but seeing that Christina Schou asked if it was fixed earlier today I decided to sort it out before I put out this release. I just tested it out and it seems to work as it should.

OG Kush joint fixed

There was a missing code in the OG Kush making the interactions not show up for this object. This is now fixed.

Police Busts

You can get busted by the cops when selling cocaine, amphetamine or MDMA. When you are at level 1 in one of those Dealing Skills the chance of getting busted is tuned to 5% - the higher your level, the lower chance of getting busted. At level 5 it is tuned to 0.5%

When you get busted a cop will show up, walk over to your Sim, lecture him or her a bit, flaunt some handcuffs and they will walk off. Your Sim will disappear into jail, this is a rabbit hole event and you will not be able to follow him or her to jail.

When your Sim is released from jail all your Sims inventory has been confiscated by the police. This basically means that you need to be careful with having too much drugs on your person if you are afraid of getting busted. Storage chests are your friends from now on.

There is also a chance of getting a negative buff that lasts for 12 hours after being released from jail. There are several buffs that might occur, and these are chosen out of your Sims traits. Example: If your Sim is Materialistic, he or she might get a Sad buff due to having lost all his or her drugs.

Installation Instructions

  • Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.

  • Download Basemental Drugs v1.1.2

  • Unzip Basemental Drugs v1.1.2

  • Place the unzipped files in your Mods folder.

  • If you experience issues with Buying or Selling -
    place basementaldrugs.ts4script directly in your Mods folder.

  • Enjoy the drugs
