How it should. The only difference is the compatibility for Gibbi Point, the new region added in the Adventure Awaits expansion pack.
Venue List
To make sure this mod works you need to download the updated Basemental Drugs venue list provided in this post. I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List. I also recommend updating it whenever there is a new mod version out as I constantly add in new custom venue compatibility from other mod authors.
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Drugs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.*
Download this Basemental Drugs.exe file.
Run the Basemental Drugs.exe file.
Choose which Optional Packages you want included.
Delete your localthumbcache.package
* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Drugs folder.
Basemental Drugs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)
Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
Download the Basemental Drugs zip file.
Unzip the Basemental Drugs zip file.
Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.
Delete the Basemental Drugs zip file.
Delete your localthumbcache.package

Hi I just downloaded this mod for the update. The mod remove a bunch of items such as chairs etc. I've tried trouble shooting and it's not working. Also the discord isn't helpful
Hi, i noticed that there aren't any police activity while playing with this mod. I've tried to initiate it a few times and nothing. i set the setting to difficult and i haven't seen a single raid. is there some that could prevent the police activity?
is your sim selling drugs? & what kind of drugs? and how often? My sim has been raided so much I press "M" to take me to maps so I get away lol
Hey Base I'm curious about something. Why do we need a bench or to sit when sharing a blunt with a friend? I have started to keep one of the outdoor folding benches in my inventory for when I am away from my lot. You never know who you might run into and want to toke up.
Its in order for the interaction to work 100% of the time as animations including two Sims needs certain constraints to work properly. Especially when passing things back and forth

You sure you don't have any other mods in your Basemental folder? Like an outdated version of one of the Scumbumbo mods I have fixed. That could cause loading issues. If that is not the case I highly recommend you heading over to the support channel on the Discord server to get help. The link is at the bottom of the post

Just bought a subscription to your Patreon so I could have the latest version. Everything else seems to be working except the alcohol, my sims will start making a drink then cancel the interaction after a few sim minutes. Is this a bug? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can't play the game without your mod! Just not the same for the stories I'm trying to tell or the drama

Getting prompt that mod is outdated despite having latest version. Causing issues with build mode and lastexception assistant showing several errors caused by this mod. Anyone have any idea what's going on or how to repair?

Hello - I am receiving an error when using Basemental Drugs version 8.18.235 10/4 release. KeyError: ": DramaNodeScoringBucket> does not have value 3260673698" (price_handler.py). It seems to be a direct result of the mod trying to reference data that no longer exists post-patch when the drama scheduler updated for neighborhood stories and events. This is the last exception stats (BuildSignature: 1.118.257.1020).
This has nothing to do with Basemental Drugs. The price_handler.py is most likely just being referenced in the callstack. The error you are talking about is as far as I know related to custom freelance careers and more specifically removing mods that includes custom career gigs. I am sure you can get further help with this if you head over to one of the general TS4 support servers on Discord, like DP's server or SimsAfterDark.
Hi, I’m currently using the latest version of Basemental Drugs (8.18.235 Patreon release), and I’m getting consistent desync errors on game startup caused by the module april_fools.py. The error appears in my lastException.txt and points to: .\BasementalDrugs_8.18.235-PATREON\Basemental\injections\april_fools.py\april_fools.py It’s triggering UnavailablePackSafeResourceError and AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_model', with references to non-existent objects like GoldSim_CandyJar_Rec_Candy and final_product: U. It looks like the april_fools.py injector was accidentally left inside the .ts4script file in this build — even though there’s no visible folder in the mod directory, the code still loads from inside the archive. I’ve tested this by removing the .ts4script and the desyncs immediately stopped. Could you please confirm if this module was meant to be included, or if it will be removed in the next update/hotfix (8.18.236 or later)? It’s currently causing conflicts with TOOL, MCCC, SNB Bills, and Lumpinou Life Milestones due to the injector chain. Thank you for your amazing work — I just wanted to share this in case it helps with the next release build.
Hey, please head over to the support channel on the Discord server with this issue so we can get to the bottom of what the culprit of your error actually is about. The file you are talking about isn't accidentally left in there, it is intentionally left in there, and the file does nothing at all.
Am I nuts or is there another update that isn't on patreon yet? This is the latest version I have installed but I keep recieving a notice that it's out of date

That is a wickedly good idea! like the right amount can give the sim an hour or so of fairy power, and too much can ultimately unalive them or have severe addiction and negative reactions
