Clarification about the next release for supporters
Hello there!
Yes, Celeste is sad, and so do I!
As you may know, I've been "crushing" (that's the "technical" term for working about 16 hours a day) on the game for the past three weeks trying to finish this chapter on time...
But what timing are we talking about? Well, as you may also know, the launch of GS on Steam was not good... To the point that it could have ended the adventure. But since I had my job on the side, it was okay. But since January, I've been part-time (and I'll be going full-time on GS very soon!), and if I want to not jeopardize my family, I need to make sure everything goes well!
But, about that timing? I'm getting there, but to understand properly, you need to know a few things. Since February and the new chapter, GS has been doing better on Steam. And that's thanks to everyone who left a positive review (thank you so much!) but also thanks to the bundles. Yes, it gives the game more visibility, and thus it performs better.
And this timing?! Yes, here it is! Well, on September 6th, there's a bundle opportunity I absolutely must not miss. Another developer (a friend) has very kindly agreed to do a bundle with me upon its release. But for me to also bring some value to this bundle, it's important that I bring visibility. And for that, the new chapter needs to release on September 6th (finally!).
But what's the issue then? Well, in terms of production, despite my current crush, I still have about a week, minimum, of work left. It should be enough to release the new chapter on September 6th (at least you have a date), but not a week before...
And that's where the problem lies. The supporters of the "superheroes" and "Celestial" tiers, you have the right (and you deserve it given the unwavering support you give me!) to an early release of the game.
But I absolutely cannot miss this bundle window.
So, I'm really sorry but I won't be able to meet the commitment of an early release of the game (at least not a week early, as soon as possible!)... I would completely understand if you are upset about this, it really breaks my heart too!
If anyone wishes, I will refund any of you from these tiers, just send me a DM.
I'll try to make it up to you after this crush (and a few days of rest because I really can't take it anymore) with some renders just for you!
That was all... And again, sorry! And thank you for your support to all!

OK, I'm a superhero, since just now. I don't care about the benefits and times. I like your game. You are sympathetic. And I hope full-time GS works for you.
Thanks a lot for your support! I hope that too, it would really be a dream coming true! ^^
To be honest, I was thinking about upping my contribution, but was thinking more of a $5 level, without going quite as high as $8. I am another one who picked up the game on Steam when I saw it as a part of a bundle a while back, and was so impressed, I felt that the project deserved at least a low tier from me, just to see how the development goes. I just have too many things I am donating to on Patreon at this point, but I need to go through the list and see if I want to adjust any downward.
Thanks a lot! Please, be sure to be safe before increasing your support :) I prefer a safe patron than a patron supporting me more but being unsafe because of that! :)
As a "Superhero" I don't give a damn about getting it earlier. I've bought it on Steam, so if I get this update at the same time as the "Steamer" it's okay for me.
Thanks a lot for your support!
