Chapter 5 first report

Hello there!

Here's the first progress report for Chapter 5, but first, some feedback on the Chapter 4 releases:

• Financially, it's mixed: I'm doing okay, but for instance, it doesn't cover the entire soundtrack. My visibility is really low, which I think is the main issue.

• Bundles: There are two ongoing bundles for GS: one with two other French developers, and another temporary one with five prestigious developers! Financially, it's not magical, but I think it improves GS's visibility, and I must admit I'm proud to be alongside these devs!

For Chapter 5: I've made good progress. It's going to be a bit different from the others in its content because now that some foundations have been laid, and as we're at the midpoint of the story, it's time to start moving toward resolving a first set of story topics. So, this results in more dialogue. Moreover, this book is increasingly moving toward its initial goal (which I won't spoil ;) ), and it's starting to show it. 

However, I'm also going to start experimenting a lot more visually. We're sticking with Daz, the models, etc., won't change, but as more and more special effects become necessary (seriously?! superpowers require visual effects?! :D ), I will need to learn to manage them. Furthermore, I also really want to focus more on the game with more advanced animations, especially in key moments like action scenes. Currently, we're at about 35 minutes of animation in total for GS (with special effects like Laina's HUD), and I would really like to reach more than an hour by the end of book 1.

So, this will translate into me diving more and more into Blender for the visual effects part.

Anyway, regarding my progress in this chapter:

• 1492 lines of script, of which 750 are non-scripted (without the images, etc...)

• 180 renders

• 0 animations

In conclusion, I'm making good progress on the story, and the visuals are advancing at an acceptable pace, so for now, nothing to report :)
