December Update - Waxing Moon
Hello everyone!
Quick little update to keep everyone informed on what's been going on. Got a little sick while working on Sanguinity, and while I was, I ended up getting SUPER distracted by a several other story ideas. I decided to just write a little on each to explore them, and realized that while they were fun, they weren't anything I wanted to commit to long term. As such, I have a few weird chapters laying around right now.
So what am I going to do with them? Most likely, if they get more than two chapters deep, I'll set up a "snippet thread" on Spacebattles. For those unfamiliar, snippet threads are kind of a place for authors to just post bits and pieces of stories they wanted to work on a little with no long-term intention of necessarily continuing. If they end up becoming long enough, I'll take them out of the snippet thread and give them their own spot, but the thread offers a great way for me to keep giving you all content without having to fully commit to finishing or even stressing about updating any of the ideas within.
As for my current stories...
Magical Girl Gunslinger: I'm finally feeling motivated and excited to continue writing it again. I've been re-listening to the audiobook version of Beneath the Dragoneye Moons from the beginning now that the series is complete, and I'm fired up to jump back into writing a litRPG. So for December, I'm focusing on jumping back into MGG and getting a new chapter out sometime late in the month. I'm also trying to adopt a regular writing schedule that while not impressive compared to other authors will allow me to have regular updates for MGG all of next year.
I'm incredibly disappointed how slow my progress on MGG has been and am desperately hoping to change it. I feel like I'm in a better mental place now to continue working on MGG, and hopefully will be able to finally give Mai's story the love it deserves. Next year will hopefully see regular updates and quite a bit of progress.
So look forward to an update late this month (no hard date as holiday season is kind of crazy for me).
As for Sanguinity, it will be on the backburner for this month while I focus on fully submersing myself in MGG once again. I'm not saying it won't receive updates, but don't expect them. I have the next chapter almost ready, but it kind of ends on a cliff-hanger right now and will only get work on it after I've met my MGG quota for the day.
Thank you all for sticking with me this far. Being a writer and sharing my stories has always been a dream of mine. I'm ashamed how long MGG's had to be on pause, especially considering the love you all have shown for it, and I will always be thankful to those of you who have stuck with me on this journey and continue to support me.
Cheers everyone.

Thank you for the update! I love that you feel motivated to write MGG again! If you manage to maintain that motivation next year, then i think I could consider this lengthy pause for MGG as a good thing, in the long run. Motivated authors generally make better stories than authors trying to force it, no? It's also far better for your mental health. No matter what happens next year, I'll be happy as long as you take care of yourself though, so don't force yourself if your motivation wanes.
Love it if it happens, but you take care of yourself too.
Great to hear you’re active once more! Stay healthy and looking forward to the updates!
I'm excited to read more MGG
Thanks for the update!! Super looking forward to more MGG, love your work!
Stay healthy!
As I have said before, when I decide to support someone monetarily, I am supporting an artist, not the art. And an artist's mental health and balance is the most important aspect to support, even if it means a slowdown in output. That being said, a more regular schedule for MGG is something I am very excited about. Glad to hear your motivation and enthusiasm for Mai has returned. Slowly but surely. We will still be here.
Thanks for the update! And don't worry about struggling with MGG. It's a complex story, and there is no shame in wanting to do it properly rather than just hammering out weak content for the sake of hammering it out. I'm a bit sad about Sanguinity being back-burner'ed, but writing more than one book at once is a tall order. I do hope that we see more of Gwen after the Holidays, since her story is so fun, but please don't feel rushed. Regardless, I'm excited to jump back into the world of MGG and find out what happens next for Mai! Cheers!
Magical Girl Gunslinger My love, finally I can get a Chapter again maybe soon 🥹
