Anime Mod V.1 [OUTDATED - PENDING UPDATE - 4TH JAN 2026]
*REQUIRES MOVIE HANG OUT STUFF PACK
Hey my loves!
Sorry I've been a bit quiet, but I've been working diligently on my first actual mod! Nothing crazy, but it's still a major leap for me and I hope you can all enjoy it as much as I do.
I present to you the Anime Mod!
I have replace all of the movies that come with the Movie Hangout Stuff Pack with anime clips! I've made two sets, so that you can alternate between different animes that you like!
The game only allows for 1m55secs per video, so sadly they are not FULL episode, but enough to make it feel like your sim has watched an entire movie lol!
Set 1
Attack On Titan, Bleach, Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball Z, Inuyasha, JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, My Hero Academia, Ouran High School Host Club, Sailor Moon and Tokyo Ghoul
Set 2
Blue Exorcist, Carole and Tuesday, Dr. Stone, Fairy Tail, Food Wars, Hunter X Hunter, Kimi Ni Todoke, Naruto, One Piece and One Punch Man
Optional
I've also created a text string override that changes the "Watch Movie" and "Watch Movie With" to "Watch Anime and Watch Anime With" for more of an in-depth feel to choosing to watch anime! This also works with Club activities, so you can make your own Anime Club and they will Watch Anime autonomously! This also changes the buffs your sims can get from watching an anime. They will either think the anime was Litty or Trash!
** IMPORTANT **
If you have any other movie overrides, you will have to remove them and replace them with my overrides! My mod will conflict with their overrides!
This is the first version of this mod! I hope to develop it more in future, but for now please enjoy!
I am going to work on changing the TV channels aswell, so your sims can have Hulu and Netflix with some actual TV shows on there too! Joy!
I've tested them all thoroughly, as I had to make the outro vids separately. I have corrected any issues with crashing, but please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any issues!
I have to put them in two separate zip files because they were too big to upload via Patreon!
I'm putting this out for the community on the 27.12.19, so everyone can enjoy this too.
Have fun and let me know how it goes!
Love, Dani x

Please update this mod!! :) I love anime and I have sims that love it as well.
hey girl, is this up to date? or is it still outdated?
when do u plan to fix this mod i got movie hangout just for this mod plz fix it soons
Does this mod still work with the current update?
I'm not seeing set 1 as any options when I click on the TV to watch anime. only set 2.
Hey so this is not working. I got the movie hangout pack and even sorted out other overrides that could collide with this one. Its still not showing up in my game :(( could there be any issues due to the update of the game ?
I love Ourin High School Host Club lol. Can you do more and add The Disastrous Life Of Siaki K please.
no fr and michiko et hatchin
Omg I love this! Tysmmmm💖
can i load both sets in game?
No, you can mix and match from both sets. please read the instructions in the post and package files x
Do I need movie hangout for this?
Yes as it overrides the movies that come with that pack x
This may need an update? Whenever my sims start watching it now it runs continuously unless you quit the action yourself
Hmmm.. I noticed that it happens for me at times too. That's annoying. I'll do some testing and my best to start updating it since there's a lot to get through.
Do you no were you got that PlayStation box from?
Hi! Thanks for your work! Can I share this page to Chinese Sims4 forum? <3
Sure!
It says its in my game but it doesn't pop up when I click on the tv
Do you have movie hangouts?
nvm it works
This mod is bombbbbb but I was wondering if there is anyway to fix the JOJO bizarre one it says watch jojo bizarre but it shows fairytale
Read the instructions my love. You can't have the same override in the game at one time. Both replace the "SuperKids" movie. You can mix and match between sets, but you can't have all 20 in the game. 10 at a time.
Only some of the movies pop up for me like for example I dont see Dragon ball Z but i see Inuyasha and etc
If you have a cheap TV, I don't think all the movies will come up. Same goes for TV channels. The more expensive the TV is the more channels you will have available! Let me know if this works x
Thank you!!!
dope
Nice! lol
This is so awesome. By chance could there be one for Avatar:The Last Airbender? Oh and I’m probably late on this one, but congrats on your interview with BBC news Africa.
Can add it to the future update to this mod, and thank you so much!

It needs to go in your mods folder. Make sure you don't have any other movie overrides. You need to have the Movie Hangouts Stuff Pack.
