Introducing a New Chapter for the Tools We Need For Better Black Hair Options In Games & Animation 🛠️✨

I want to kick off with an apology — it's been very quiet here and I take full accountability for that.

The truth is, I've been navigating a new journey behind the scenes and it took me a minute to figure out how to bring you into it properly. Thank you so much for your patience while I found my footing. I'm back and I've got something I'm genuinely VIBRATING and GAME CHANGING to share.

First and foremost Sims content is on pause, but isn't going anywhere. I know some of you have been with me since the very beginning of my CC journey (EST 2015!!?) and I want to be clear: I will always support the Sims community. That's my home. That's where this all started!

HOWEVER, I'm also stepping into something bigger. For a while now I've been building a procedural textured hair and locs tool for Blender and where it's heading is beyond just Sims custom content. I want this tool to be able to support not just Sims creators, but the wider gaming and 3D community (game developers and animators too!) — anyone who's ever struggled to find good textured hair tooling for their characters and character, because that gap has existed for way too long (and I'm sick of them damn KILLMONGER LOCS).

A few things the tool can already do:

• Generate full heads of low-poly locs and kinky strands procedurally — no manual modeling required

• Game-ready, optimized topology for real-time engines

• Two strand twist styling

• Natural root & regrowth effects for a less uniform, more organic look

• Gravity and droop simulation

• Adjustable tip length, zone, and coil

• Physics and collision support for movement-responsive hair

• A growing preset library to speed up workflow

This is evolving still, but even in this early stage, it's already doing things I didn't think I'd get to build this soon. See demo and key features on my website here!

As this next chapter is bigger, I'm introducing a new tier: AVILABS by Ebonix - Dev Support 💛

This tier support exists specifically to:

• Help me keep developing, building, testing and refining the tool

• Covering things like software, testing hardware, contractors

• Costs involved with patent and legal support

• Travel to conferences to put the tool in front of the people who need to see it the most

I'm genuinely so excited for where this is going. This started as a passion project to fix something I saw missing in the industry and it's turning into something that could actually change how textured hair is made for games and animation — not just for me, but for everyone everywhere with textured hair who've been underserved by existing tools.
