Special Factions: Aspropneuma

Aspropneuma (Greek for White Spirit) is one of the government-backed factions created during the rise of the presence of Risers, and increased phenomena in general, to help the government combat against the more hostile Risers, monsters and anomalies. Like the Risers themselves, they utilise both technology and magic for combat, though they are obviously on a smaller scale. 

Their main footsoldiers are also known as the Silopilo Fantasma (Greek for Silent Ghosts), whom wear Pure Spirit Armor (also known as the Sakadagami Battlesuit by the Buddhist Risers), with some other additional attachments, such as belts, holsters, and oxygen helmets for high-altitude and spatial combat. The weapons they use include nanomaterial swords and firearms, with low-level spiritual and magical enhancement.

While Pure Spirit Armor are normally obtained through spiritual training, Aspropneuma artificially synthesises them from the bodies of fallen wielders, skipping the need for the Silopilo Fantasma to train for their own. They use this Pure variant rather than the more impure Sotapanna version, because it can better imprint on normal people. However, this Battlesuit is weaker than normal as a result, requiring some additional gadgets for additional defense. This method of obtaining Battlesuits has, for obvious reasons, come across as rather amoral.

Ultimately, most of them do not compare to a Riser one-on-one, with them focusing more on numbers and tactics. While Silopilo Fantasma mainly consist of regular people, some Risers have took up to being one for a while, to better hone their own fighting skills and spiritual power rather than rely on that of a God.
