A Great Demon is an advanced class of Demons, the true powerhouses of the demonic plane and their royal bloodline. Most of them are famed as the Demons of the Ars Goetia, though some have already ascended past this title. They can be summoned most commonly with a Dark Seed.
There are multiple ways to become a Great Demon. Most commonly, such Demons are either personally been given power by greater Demonic Forces, such as Abbadon or Yatan. Some are even the spawn of the corpses of greater demons. For example, a handful of Great Demons are the progeny of the corpse of the Demon Monarch Ah Erba.
One notable trait of the Great Demons are their immortality compared to regular Demons, such that they can live up to several thousand years old. This eternal life is due to the greater demons' blessings for them to be able to reincarnate for eternity. Additionally, the Great Demons were also bestowed with Flaming Giant Swords upon their coronation, the dark counterparts of the Flaming Swords wielded by the angels, with a corrosive and penetrative ability as a mockery of their power of divine smiting. Most importantly, their tails had evolved to be able to perform linking bonds with other Great Demons, such that they could absorb the might of other Great Demons for their own use. Some of the Great Demons are also Dream Vortexes, that allows them to converge the dreams of nearby mortals together for their own ends.
