The Protas are a race of higher dimensional entities or "aliens", who dwell primarily in the realm known as the World of the Protas. These are the most ancient of the Embodiments, and are on average greater than their more junior brethren. Their power highly fluctuates, such that they could be viewed as ranging in power akin to absolute divinity at the high end, to demigods on the low end. However, even the weaker ones more than compensate with their highly advanced technology and magic, that allows them to freely shift through entire timelines, realities and planes of existence.
Their civilization is generally at an advanced level beyond human comprehension, despite being extremely low in population, with only seventeen having existed from the beginning of time until The Source's return as well as the second renaissance of the Protas race, due to their limitless lifespan and a lack of a real need to reproduce (Though they are fully capable). The Protas' magic and architecture are so advanced that they resemble mathematics, and are characterized by geometric fractals and patterns. Their two most ultimate weapons are the Exterminator and the Heart of Etheria, the weaponisation of the entire Prime Energy and Magic Dimension.
It is hard to explain Protas physiology as they are a race that regularly uses Polymorphy (aka shapeshifting) and can change their appearance, form, and even their gender at will. Each individual does tend to look drastically different from the others, usually, their favored appearance is a matter of personal taste, more or less. Their appearances have changed drastically from ancient times taking on a more humanoid appearance over time. Each Protas with the exception of Fanbris had a soulmate created straight from their own soul at the time of their 'birth' who is directly tied to them, complementing their domain or specialty in some way. The true form of a Protas is a reflection of their true self with the Primes at one time existing as beings of silver and golden "cosmic energy" respectively. While taking a physical form, the Protas have a individually unique colored liquid instead of blood called which is called Ichor, these have been used in some of their creations and can be used to determine who made certain beings.
It is said that the most ancient of the Protas are born of the Negentropy of existence, pulling order out of the static nothingness. This would lead to Entropy or Chaos slowly forming over time, in turn having a hand in the creation of the Outer Gods. The Protas have battled a fierce battle against said Outer Gods before, and eventually came out victorious, sealing them to aa faraway land. It is also believed said that the Protas have a similar nature to the Progenitors. They and their servants generally speak a complex runic language that is incomprehensible to most mortals, and one of their recurring symbols is that of a coiled serpent, which is believed by broker scholars to be a representation of "their infinite cycle".

The Protas are based on those from the Witcher Fanon, along with D&D. One of the battlesuits utilise assets from someone who forbids commercial usage, so this post will be public for now.
