That's the whole point of grand-parenting (or pet sitting, or other-sitting); you spoil the to pieces, and send them back home sugared up and caffeinated
Kids: Mom can we have candy!? Elizabeth: No children it's bad for your teeth and will make you fat! Kids: Grandma can we have candy!? Sheila: Candy? Forget about that! How about ice cream served on top of pancakes!
Cleaning up after the kids or the grandparents? In my experience, both are pretty messy.
