Maybe this and Ranger's Rest are new illustrations for a "Cottonwine Field Notes II"... We've been waiting five years for the rest of Cyreth's adventures and the next chapter of her study of the Cottonwine Tribes.
Jay's single images are like bombshells in my writer brain. Each one like this cries out for a back story. The concepts swim and swirl in my imagination like schools of exotic fish...oh what lovely distraction from my mundane life!
This make me wonder which one of the Cottonwine tribes, the priest and his apprentice from "The mission" are trying to convert... Equines like in this one, Orcines like in page 1, the Lapines (they were so sexy), the Wolves or something else...
