Cops went from nightsticks to guns
The 1972 Tales From The Crypt was Amicus not Hammer. Easy mistake to make, because they used the same actors.
So I was day playing on a Rhianna music video where the Jabbawockeez were dancing in the same warehouse where the OG Saw movie was filmed in DTLA and Rhianna wasn’t even there but DAG rolled up on a Suzuki motorcycle and kept doing burnouts and screaming her name and telling her to come out and then we explained she wasn’t there for the shoot and he just left. Anyways, love The Boyz.
I painted tattoos for eight years for a make up artist who turned them into high quality press on tattoos so they didn't have to start fresh on the talent everyday. He sold them to other artists as well. It was a gravy job. Unfortunately, (for me) he became a very in demand artist for D!$#*Y and shifted his priorities.
OK, we need Boyz Zone T-shirts!!
"What's up, cock?" – John Gabrus, perhaps the greatest to ever do it
I feel like the final story in this movie is sort of "A Clockwork Orange in the Hood."
This is playing at the theater near me this week. We’re gonna see it with a crew so should be fun regardless. Don’t remember a damn thing from watching it back in the day
I’m paying $90/m for YouTube TV, so I get all football games except Thursdays. I won’t pay money to Bezos if I can avoid it. 🤷♂️
Thirty years ago, my parents purchased a set of Cutco knives from my babysitter's college-age boyfriend. My dad still has the knives and uses them near daily. I remember the kid badly cut his thumb during his sales pitch.
I really liked the movie. This was my first time seeing it not on cable. I think the Sci-Fi channel used to run it a lot? It's not perfect, but I love a big swing that tries something. My favorite story was the cop one, but it was weird how all of the cops never got super racist in their dialog. I know Wings Hauser said he was a big liberal, so maybe he felt uncomfortable saying actual slurs.
That's just part of the Hollywood fantasy element of this movie
Dr. Runtime is the only doctor giving me good news
At $12 a month Dr. Runtime is the only doctor I can afford at this point
Cannon, Frankenheimer, Elmore Leonard, Clarence Williams III, a film hitting all the Action Boyz quadrants https://youtu.be/yK-ajlxnyOY?si=SndHw5a5O5bz1pOD
“Again, the nipples with this movie”
My mom wouldnt allow me to have cool stuff in my room. Everything was bad to her. My friends mom growing up worked at Wal—Mart and would book me up with those cardboard standee’s. I had one of the Cryptkeeper and Larry Johnson as grandma-ma. She threw those away the moment I acted up
The director, Rusty Cundieff, was doing some terrific stuff around 1995. His piece on slavery for Michael Moore's TV Nation still holds up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yvyMSYuuYM Also, Fear Of A Black Hat was a big hit around our house that year. It's what CB4 wanted to be but was somehow completely slept on. Ribbet-Ribbet!
Between KRS-One and Fear of a Black Hat, PM Dawn took a lot of strays around that time.
If you don’t mind watching the games after they air live, NFL Premium + gets you access to every single game immediately after they finish with no commercials (plus a “condensed” version available a little later) for like $15/month. I was getting so frustrated trying to reliably access both in-market and out-of-market games and at least for this season, this is my fix
“It’s a nice day for a street wedding.”
Holy shit… yes I remember getting “weepuls” for selling magazines in middle school.
Yeah. My high school friends group I still stay in touch with was talking about this recently. The guy who organized the magazine sales in my school just died a few years ago and we were all making fun of him. The fact that he made his career on tricking middle school kids to go sell magazines is fucking weird. Also, one of my friends was one of the "winners" for sales and his "prize" was taking a limo to Mcdonalds for lunch. And literally all that happened was the limo drove him to mcdonalds and they got a to go order and he came back to school. He probably sold like 1000 dollars worth of magazine subscriptions and he got a 3.99 meal. What a fucking scam.
DAG's funniest SNL was with Will Ferrell when they play a news team and the teleprompter breaks so they don't know what to say, end up going cannibal haha.
I saw DAG's stand up live once about 10 years ago and it was one of the funniest I'd ever been to
In Free Willy when Michael Madsen shows Jesse his new room I remember being jealous.
The Three Ninjas also had a crazy ass cool room. Little spoiled brats
Yesss. Cuban B!
Riffing on a guy pissing on a grave leading to Bugs Bunny chewing a penis is the kind of thing that keeps me paying for this podcast despite how much I hate having subscriptions
I lost it at "Ehhh...What's up Cock?"
"Hey, I'm Cuban b" "Ah yes. Cuban-B"
Can’t believe I’ve never seen this before… I loved it!
When we getting the Action Boyz book of Poetry?!?
"I feel like Halo, or Batman." belongs in there.
I was stoney baloney having a good time and that last segment really snuck up on me. That shit was wild! "I dont give a fuck!" very 'occurence at owl creek bridge'
I can still see David Allen Grier twisting around "oooouhowieowieowie!"
You Tube TV now offering a package that is sports only, still not cheap but materially less than the full You Tube TV package.
WAS THIS WHAT YOU GUYS WERE HOPING FOR? 🤣 https://youtu.be/kA4DNa9j4rw?is=IRMoJm2ydf8nCB0F
My brother had this on cassette. I listened to it several times a small kid.
This movie scared the shit out of me as a kid. Heavy with the racial components but people are dumb and only getting dumber. You can’t use a deft hand anymore
We always say we can take down Chucky, or any other horror doll, but I have trouble with my 30 pound Jack Russell mix, and his intent is to play rough. Chucky’s intention is to kill. I don’t think any of us can fend him for long. Also he’s probably got hidden blades. He’s not coming at you empty handed.
Stuart Gordons Dolls scared me so bad when I saw it as a kid I would apologize to my stuffed animals every night before bed for beating them up just in case they came to life.
I loved renting this from Hollywood Video
Like all anthology movies some segments are better then others, my favourites would be the opening one and the Corbin Bernsen one. Clarence Williams III was great and the closing sting of "Welcome to Hell Motherf**ker" was great fun. Oh and the great Keith David played the same character in a sequel and really nailed that line too. https://youtu.be/4XDSZkZfrtI?is=kcttfXVeDVTncFC0v
What tier is it for Gabrus to eat Rodgers’ ice?
Love Horror Boyz season, it’s my favorite time of the year 🎃
Oh hell yeah.
My exact thoughts 🤜🤛
