This was actually pretty good!!
Part 3!
Why hasn’t this been made into an anime. It’s a new take on the “Reincarnated as a slime” trope.
1. Why don't we see more fan-fiction novels adapted into manhwa or manga? Nobody seems willing to take fan-fiction novels straight into manhwa or manga adaptations anymore. It's simply too risky an investment. Big studios go after big money, recognizable names, established authors, and proven IPs — actual manga and manhwa with an existing audience. And even then, maybe, just maybe, after three years of development and testing the waters, a series might finally make it to Crunchyroll. Or it gets canceled. Or the second season never happens. But here's the biggest problem: merchandising. No figurines. No plushies. No dolls. No major PR campaigns. No established branding. No real IP value to capitalize on. No hype, no profit, no chance. Anime isn't just about telling a story. It's also about selling products. And the market is already saturated. On top of that, many web novels haven't even reached a proper conclusion. That's one reason we don't see many adaptations making it to Part 3 and beyond. 2. Novel recaps aren't enough to make a full manhwa or anime. Having a story is one thing. Having a team capable of visualizing that story is something completely different. And having the talent, resources, and production quality to turn it into something that can actually be sold to an anime studio? That's another level entirely. But there is still hope. Check out this channel: https://www.youtube.com/@YoEhe Honestly, this is one of the closest examples I've seen of someone potentially cracking the formula. FYI: There is NO anime here. 3. CHINA. A lot of these stories feel like fan fiction translated from Chinese into English — and I'm not talking about blind AI translation attempts alone. Copyright often seems to be treated more like a suggestion than a rule. And a lot of the content feels less like a genuine creative experiment and more like a vehicle for promoting certain products, narratives, or agendas. At the end of the day, much of it is just AI slop. Not many manage to rise above the average. Honestly, watch a couple of these series, and you'll start noticing the same templates repeating over and over again. The same plots. The same character archetypes. The same power fantasies. Just with different names and slightly different packaging. And let's be real: we're a tiny minority here, with an audience that probably amounts to a rounding error compared to the mainstream market. Most creators aren't willing to take unnecessary creative risks, either. If you compare these productions with actual manhwa — or even high-quality manhwa recap channels — the difference in storytelling, pacing, and overall quality becomes pretty obvious. 4. REINCARNATED AS A SLIME is basically a power-level fantasy. LUMOS and NOKOI have already covered three or four similar slime stories, but this one is still my second favorite. And if you've made it this far, here's your reward: a hidden gem. Everyone Thinks He's a BROKE STUDENT, But He's the LEGENDARY GOD THIEF Who Stole 2 BILLION! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ity3NO5WCkw You're welcome. 😎
+1 Rep Fresh Mahwa A wholesome little story about poor, sick, and disabled sisters and their Symbiont slimes going on an adventure. They fight against discrimination, jealous classmates and rivals, and evil gods. The MC, as the Slime Dark Lord, works hard in the shadows while being ridiculously OP. Thone of some scenes are very dark and creepy. Personally, I felt a little emotional every time the MC helped the disabled girl navigate a difficult situation (like spaces, staircase, buses). The author put a lot of effort into highlighting the everyday challenges faced by a wheelchair-using heroine. These may seem like small details, but they matter. It's also worth highlighting the character development of the sisters and their first rival. The sisters grow from insecure, dependent characters into independent individuals who aren't afraid to take control of their own lives. Watching the downfall of the tsundere who rejected the MC was satisfying. I'll be waiting for more episodes!
