Hey!
It's been a few days since the update, so it's time for a few words from me and a little summary. As always, the feedback has been mixed—some people say things like "small update," "we waited so long for this," "where are the sex scenes?" or "this update brought nothing new."
Over the years of working on Visual Novels, I’ve learned one thing—people will always complain, and it will never be enough, no matter how much time, effort, and energy go into making them happy. Even a small update takes weeks or months of constant work—writing scripts, rendering, animating, coding, fixing issues—it’s not a quick process. And hiring artists who can maintain the required quality isn't an option, which is why it takes time. Every month, we put more hours into this project than we actually have, often at the cost of our personal lives.
...but I’m getting carried away—that’s not what this post was supposed to be about. Most of you expect an update to be packed with sex scenes, which makes sense since this is an adult game. But many people don’t understand the importance of writing, building tension, structuring the story, and weaving different plotlines together. SoD has a lot of fans (and just as many haters) precisely because we take this approach. Everything is planned—we know where we’re going and won’t change direction just because someone expected something different from this update.
As I’ve said many times, Early Access is about supporting the developer. If you’re going to complain after every update that it was smaller than expected, maybe just wait a year and a half for the full release—then you can judge whether it was worth it or just trash.
I tend to focus too much on negative comments, which is one of my flaws, but I also want to thank those who leave positive feedback. The people who understand that even non-animated scenes that aren’t in the replay gallery still matter because they connect to future scenes and upcoming updates.
That’s all I wanted to say—Adult Visual Novel means both "Adult" and "Novel." If you're only here for one part, you’re going to be disappointed.

This will be a bit of a hot take. There is nothing wrong with negative comments as long as they're constructive. Being negative just to be negative doesn't do any good. Now that being said I love the way this AVN is being done the story part is what makes it great. Not the sex scenes. The problem with most corruption AVN's is how fast the person falls. Making it a quick game. This game keeps us involved. So keep up the great work.

This is an old post but first time seeing it for myself. Keep doing what's in your vision. I personally really enjoy the story and the build-up to the scenes. I played another game recently, and you're right about people complaining about everything., that game had well over a 100 sex scenes and people complained there were too many scenes. LOL Haters are gonna hate no matter what you give them.

I just got the new update today and have played it. there is some great content in it and think your doing a great job on the game.. just wondering will there be a part two to the DVD curiosity ?? hope so as would love seen her been railed hard by that fat ugly guy and the trainer would have been nice as well to have maybe two options with wyatt the BJ and one to let him fuck her but as i said great work what your doing

Riley is very engaging character. The way you build up tension in the plot does huge part of work. Stunning graphics are the icing on the cake. E.g. that bar scene in recent update was very hot! All in all, maybe try to focus on positive opinions more, since those are quite numerous as well! Don't loose creative steam and keep up the good work! We need more bar and nerd plot actions! xD

SoD is a great game! As the tittle says "Steps of" That means to me, a slower corruption game. I love the story and am glad you are keeping to your vision!

People are going to bitch..Thats life-Myself i like the pace of the story. Just as long as we get some sluttyness in each update which we do. Sometimes I want Riley to go just a bit further but thats ok.
Negative comments should not bother you, every update of the game continues successfully and another thing that caught my attention is that you take into account the comments of your followers and make additions to the game, this is very nice. For example, I commented that an update would be nice for the pervert in the park and it was added. We are eagerly waiting for the new update.
I always appreciate the updates. Just keep up the good work. It's always going to be a problem for early access to the ones who want more out of every update. Yeah sure I always want more too but with me it's more that I like it so much that I can't wait for the next update. I will gladly continue to support as the SoD is coming out great and I'm loving every update. And me having a normal human brain understands how to read and EARLY ACCESS/ STILL IN DEVELOPMENT means that it isn't complete and that there will be more in the future. Could never understand the lack of content comments on something that isn't complete. Would be different if the issues people had was with something in the game itself. So don't sweat those comments. I hope you and the team keep the same mindset and stick to the plan as it seems to be working. Much love to you and the team.
excellent work so far, i agree that it would be wonderfull if the update was bigger. For me, i just start again and try to find things i didn't see before or enjoy scenes for a second time. keep up the good work, and don't take to much intrest in bad comments. thanks for your hard work!
the project is certainly interesting, as is the quality of the work done. Of course, when an update comes out, we all expect substantial content, as has happened in the past, but I understand and I understand that there is a lot of work behind it, that's why I say it's fine. But there is one thing that for me should be reviewed, for me it is the Bonus content, I agree that there are more images but if there were also extra scenes in the gallery, separate from the story, for me it would be better. For the rest, keep it up and I hope that one day you will put Italian as the language :D

Seeing those people who like to complain about the short content, I am really curious whether they really read your announcement articles seriously? It's really annoying to see their complaints. To be honest, you guys are really attentive compared to other adult game authors.

I agree on what the Dev have to say, not all games should have sex scene. This is because is a visual novel adult game, it needs to have a perfectly balance story. Take it from me, i prefer a long perfect storyline rather than just 2 updates and ended up fucking for no reason. haters are gonna hate and gonna say many shit, that is what they do. People with many imagination, will understand the story. So keep doing what you are doing dev and will always support your game.
Quality is always the first priority, so don't pay attention to those who complain about the update being short. I love every update you make and I support you by becoming a member as much as I can. You are very successful.

SoD is one of my favorite games. I wouldn't change anything you have done so far. If I feel progress in a particular game is taking too long, I'll drop my subscription and then pick it back up later. I don't drop them again immediately after unless I again feel progress is taking too long. I want to support developers like you.
The game's great. I'm incredibly picky with these VNs having really good visuals, animations, story (not as much) matter to me. Playing this since it came out has somewhat ruined some other favourites of mine. While I still enjoy some other games, I see they don't put as much effort into animations for example. some games release jackshit in a year while you do much more in 3 months time. One of the reasons why I've supported and plan on doing in the future. Though I probably won't every month just because $.
The true believers see what's being created here and understand the approach that you are taking. This is my favorite game of its genre I've ever played and there's a reason for that. Keep up the great work!!! Can't wait to see what comes next!!!
People will always complain no matter what happens! I feel you aswell because i tend to remember only negative comments too in my life, i think it’s in the human nature. You’re project is a top quality work, and requires time to be developed in its quality! Great storywriting too! Keep it up the hard work
Actually I was gonna ask if you could ad simple dance session to the stripper option at the bar where it plays the quick slideshow of her dancing and just give a set amount of experience vs playing the mini game everytime would kinda be nice. Especially for me because I have partial paralysis in my hand and not great fine motor skills, it's kinda tedious for me.
I really liked the 4.1 update. We got a few hints about the future continuation of the plot. Looking forward to the 4.2h update
I'm one of those who wait for a season or a few chapters. If you put out small updates than we play it in an hour than we are waiting again. Take your favorite show on Max, prime and Netflix. How long do we wait for the next season? As long as we get at least weekly updates, I am good with waiting. But that just me.

Don't focus on the negative; there are many more of us who love this game and will continue to support you. Of course, sometimes the update seems a bit short, but that's because we're so eager to play this game. Keep it up. We'll continue to support you.

I joined the Patreon after first playing through the game, that's how impressed I was, and still am, with it. I have full faith in your vision and plan with the game; 4.0 was a massive deal, with a massive decision, and in 4.1 you see the consequences off it, Wyatt is a little more forward with Riley after seeing what she was capable of when speaking to the boss and she is way more ok with the idea of giving him a blowjob than she would have been before the events of 4.1. The couple from the boat return, setting up a lot of fun for the future. We're getting closer to meeting Ivan, having come up with our plan now. The relationship with the Dean and Madison has also moved forward, the library scene would have never happened without what happened in 4.0. In that sense, I feel like we have entered a new era of the game name and it's story. Every update is literally only going to get better and better, there are some incredibly hot moments ahead, and I'm really looking forward to it!

I love the game. After playing the first several updates from F95 I finally started supporting. Do I want more in an update? Of course. It’s a great game with great renders and character (save one, but that’s just my opinion). If the quality stays the same, I’d rather have it ‘done right’ over ‘done fast’ every day.
