Dev Update.
Hello everyone, King here. Today’s post is to clarify why there haven't been any updates around here lately. The reason is personal, but I’d like to share it with you because I feel you deserve an explanation.
Basically, at the beginning of February, I made a down payment on a property, knowing that the amount I was due to receive from Steam would be enough to pay off the balance. Because of this, we started the entire purchase process and scheduled the final payment for early March. However, Payoneer, the same service I use to receive funds from Patreon, rejected the payment, claiming it went against their policies because it involved an adult game.
I requested a payment extension, and the seller granted more time. In March, I looked for another bank and contacted them beforehand to explain the source of the money and that it came from the sale of an 18+ game. At the time, the representative told me there wouldn't be a problem. However, upon receiving the funds, the compliance department rejected the payment.
This has caused me, and continues to cause me, a huge headache. The seller was threatening to terminate the contract by a deadline when I wouldn't have had the money, which would have resulted in me losing my down payment. I am now on my third attempt to receive the funds through a different bank, which should apparently accept the amount since I am already undergoing pre-compliance.
Anyway, this has been costing me sleep and has significantly hindered development. This week, after negotiating a fine, the deadline was extended for the final time. I truly hope for an end to this entire situation. In the meantime, I am still producing, but at a slow pace. My forecast is for the update to be released in early May. Thank you for your understanding.

More money more problems. Always. I hope that the situation resolves soon. updates be damned, that’s some real world shit and it’s perfectly understandable. Fuck capitalism.
I'm sorry to hear this is happening, I hope everything works out for you in the end. It isn't like your income is from something illicit, it's dumb they would react to a legitimate income source so harshly. You develop a game aimed toward an adult audience, and everyone purchasing are obviously made well aware of its content so for them to react as though they can't accept money from such an endeavor is baffling. So again I hope everything gets straightened out for you in the end and your able to close the deal. Your game will be worth the wait in the end I'm sure😬

Did Payoneer refused to transfer the funds from Steam or did refused to extend you a line of credit using the funds as collateral/proof of income? The first is insane, from the Steam developer documentation they send funds outside US using SWIFT wires which are pretty safe. Valve is a very well know company and the amount of clawed back/fraudulent transactions from them would be small. Although I guess unlike Patreon where it is a subscription model with small increments, the risk of fraud is higher since the payment per product is higher. May also fall under Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and (KYC) know your customer. But if they are your "bank" for Patreon, odd choice on their part. Hopefully works out, but if not, this company seems to have adult content as their bread and butter: https://centrobill.com/high-risk-payment-processing/adult-entertainment/ The second sucks, but I guess it is sort of like consultant income in that it is more periodic and thus higher risk.
Thank you for the update. Terrible situation the bank put you in. Life happens though and throws us unforeseen curve balls no matter how much we plan for it. Our thoughts are with you.
