some changes in currency & pricing (please read) 🦊

Hey everyone 🐌🌻 I hope you've had a nice start to December so far! I'm enjoying all your reactions to the new scene I've posted yesterday and I can't tell you how excited I am to enter the next arc and let our boys suffer greatly be cute and whimsical~ There's still a lot to do in regards of scripting, designing and storyboarding and I'll use the rest of the month to prepare for it.

There's also an important change here on patreon I need to tell you about! After long consideration I've decided to change my payout currency from USD to EURO.

As you maybe know I live in Germany. Until recent years having USD as my payout currency was still okay, but the conversion rates from Dollar to Euro have been nothing but brutal this year and I was never quite sure what to expect at the end of the month. I've now made the decision to finally change it.

From my understanding there will still be other fees involved and it comes with different downsides, but at least I'll roughly know what I earn during the month and won't have a rude awakening each time I transfer my earnings into Euro (paypal always likes to take a cut on top of it as well)💔

For full transparency: I also have to pay around a third of my income per month to my health insurance, so to be able to continue I think this is the only viable option for now.

For existing members nothing will change, but I still wanted to inform you about it because I know some of you tend to take breaks every now and then and come back after a while (which I find so sweet 🌻 and yep I notice it every time), so I want to give you a heads up as well!

The change only affects members who join from now on or join again after a break.

I'm going to copypaste parts of the official patreon FAQ (or if you want to check yourself, you can here)

• You’ll have the opportunity to adjust your tier prices during the currency switch. This change will only affect new members — existing members will continue paying their original tier price

• If a pledge is made in a currency different from your payout currency, Patreon applies a 2.5% currency conversion fee. This applies to both new and existing members

• If a creator in the UK changes their payout currency from USD to GBP, an existing US member will continue paying the same amount in USD — their pledge doesn’t change. However, the creator will be subject to the 2.5% currency conversion fee for receiving that pledge in a different currency.

• Your existing members will not be affected — they’ll continue paying in their original currency

I tried to match the USD currency as close as possible to how it was before, while also considering the current patreon fees etc!

A few ways to help if you're able:

• If you're in the EU region and still have USD as your currency it would be the perfect time to change to EUR, and this way you can help me out with the conversion fees as well if you'd like!

• Changing your current pledge to match the new pricing

• There's also always the option to pledge for the full year (it will give you 10% discount!)

• New merchandise (pins) are on their way and will release soon 🌸
