hii 🌸 (status update)

Happy (very belated now) bday! Ghost Lights feels very special for some reason, like each new episode, each moment, each panel, is representing some intrinsic truth of the universe. I can’t explain why it seems like an especially important story for me. For more practical reasons why I like this comic: I love the blending of horror and beauty, the character designs are all fantastic, the story is intriguing (can't wait to unravel each mystery!), the romance is adorable (I want our boys to be happy!), and I can just feel how much love and work went into crafting it all. It's a complete experience. A true masterpiece

Very much a happy waaaaaay belated. I kinda took a break from patreon...still happy happy birthday! For this comic? I'm an absolute sucker for a good kinda fantasy slow burn style setting. The mystery, the awkward at times romance...love it so so much. I feel a strong connection with the characters and it's been a source of much enjoyment over the years. Hope you're doing better and keep doing better.

Happy Belated Birthday 🎂 ! Happy to hear you're feeling slightly better. I really like the colors you put into the background sceneries. It gives off the sense of ghostly haunting and eerieness that would make it too scary to live, but you fill the environment with such loving characters that it seems living there is not so bad. I also just really like the name of the comic itself, Ghost Lights.

I hope you can one day print Ghost Lights into books so I can keep them always 📚

Their past lives and loneliness spoke to me in such a profound way that I sobbed and felt like I had lived passed lives similar to that? It's the most beautiful story and art I've ever read. They are just beautiful and I love you for creating my favourite couple ever 🥹🫶

Happy birthday Fanta!! My favorite is the attention to detail that brings the characters alive. The little details that have nothing to do with the plot but shape who they are and how they feel/react is everything to me. For example: when Robin starts wearing a shirt to bed because he realized he likes Noah says so much about his character. It shows him changing his boundaries and the new level of discomfort he has surrounding the situation.

Happy Birthday! While I love the creepy/mysterious bits of the story, the moments of realistic human struggles and emotions get me just as much.

My absolute favorite part about ghost lights is how you craft the absolutely stellar atmosphere of the story, and how you effectively morph between surreal, spirit forms, and "real" human forms, allowing us to fully live the confusing, surreal, and mysterious situations the boys find themselves in. You are a master at crafting tone and atmosphere and storytelling through omission of explanation, and I love it.💚💚💚 I'm so glad you're feeling better! Ghost lights has the supernatural right enough to be mundane everything normal and yet there something else there almost spooky but not full blown horror. Happy birthday! Where do I even start with what I like about Ghost Lights? It's a perfect mix of creepy and adorable...with an extra helping of adorable. I'm a sucker for mythic backstory and past lives, so you've got me hooked on that. And just the perfect touch of tragedy looming on the horizon (but is it the horizon behind, ahead, or both?) to help them realize they belong together, even if the entire world (and the world behind the world) stands against them.

happy birthday fanta! what I like about ghost lights... that's not simple to describe ^^ first of all, it's not like your everyday love (or ghost) story, not about almost getting to a happy end just to find another obviously bad person or desaster to pull the story back. it's just one long story, not a running through one series final by another. another point would be that the story isn't only shining, it's dark and strange and there are so so many things to discover, it feels like an adventure reading it. i hope you had a wonderful day and wish you to get better quickly *virtually hugs*

The art and lore drew me into the story originally when I first found it years ago and the character and relationship developments over time keep me coming back. 💙

Oh gosh happy birthday and I'm so glad you are feeling better! I think my favorite thing about GL is the mystery of it all and the way that it's very different than any other comic I've seen in this genre. I love how detailed you are and intentional with hints in the background (even if I don't catch onto some of it) and how you inform is that there are hints there because it makes me pay more attention. A friend and myself started looking into comic design last year and when I was thinking about what I wanted to do and how I wanted to approach things I thought of GL more often than not because I'm just so impressed by you and your art and your storytelling. That's why I'm so happy to follow along no matter the pace, this story and your boys are so worth it and I'm so happy to be a part of that journey in any way that I can. Happy birthday!!! My favorite things about ghost lights are: the art and colors (saying it like that doesn't do it justice tbh), the way even the dark parts of the plot feel gentle and comforting, and the realism of the characters; they feel three-dimensional and realistic.

Happy Birthday! Let me give you more tips, please! My favorite thing about Ghost Lights is the art style, and my favorite thing about its story are the character's personalities. They feel so real, not like many other stories wherein the plot takes the lead and overshadows the choices the characters make. You know, like those famous cringey tropes often involving prolonged simple misunderstandings that shatter a relationship only to drive the plot. Ghost Lights cuts that 'ish off out the gate! It is unique and lovely.

OMG Happy Birthday!!! This is such a joyful occasion! I hope you can/could spend a wonderful day with your loved ones ! Some things I like about Ghost Lights in no particular order : the spectacular drawing and art style, the general ambiance, the very human and simple (in a good sense) characters, the mystery, the realistic dialogues (with character who are allowed to make mistakes and not be able to say exactly what's on their mind...), the writing in general... The perfect balance between being grounded in reality and the "fantastique" elements. It just checks all the boxes in all the good ways. I honestly think it's one of the best webtoon out there. It's also very original and unique. It always makes me happy when there is an update, or just some news from you, because I know the comic is still going, at its own pace, and I'm looking forward to see where it goes.
