Mayfly - School Days progress: 18%

It’s been a while. I wanted to share my new plans with you all.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve revisited the story outline and reconsidered where I want to go next.
I’ve decided that my next game will be a prequel to Mayfly.

Though “prequel” might not be quite the right word. It’ll be closer to a soft reboot: keeping the characters’ visual designs while reworking parts of their backstories and characterization.

As for why… well, having every girl around you either run a major corporation or have direct ties to one is a little too cyberpunk.

About the Story

The new story will begin with MC’s school life, before he’s awakened his superpowers or met most of the LIs.

This time, I’ll build the story around a clearer central plot. I can’t tell you what it is just yet, but I intend to explore it fully and tell it more directly and clearly.

The story outline is now in place. For the foreseeable future, I’m aiming for roughly one update every six months.

About the Adult Content

I’m sure plenty of you are wondering about this part. Well, I’ve already planned for it.

Early updates are expected to include 1–3 adult scenes each, and I’ll aim for at least two.

That’s about it. ReRe… yeah, I know this decision will be controversial. But at this point, why not give it a shot?

Here are a couple of pictures of Jimin with short hair. No particular reason—I just think she looks great.

I’ve also made some brand-new character models, and I’m still figuring out how to introduce them.

Oh, and I might give the soft reboot a new name. Just… to break the jinx, I guess? Looking back, Mayfly might not have been the luckiest choice for a game title.

好久不见。我想和大家分享我的新计划。

过去几周，我重新审视了故事大纲，并重新考虑了我接下来想走的方向。

我决定我的下一款游戏将是《Mayfly》的前传。

不过“前传”这个词可能不太准确。它更像是一次软重启：保留角色的视觉设计，同时重新打磨部分背景故事和人物塑造。

嗯，至于原因，我想了想，身边的女孩个个要么都是大公司老板，或者和大公司有直接关系——这件事发生在赛博朋克里，哇，这也太赛博朋克了。

关于故事

新故事将从MC的校园生活开始，那时他还没有觉醒超能力，也还没有遇见大部分可攻略角色。

这一次，我会围绕一条更清晰的主线来构建故事。具体内容我还不能透露，但我打算充分展开它，并且更直接、更清晰地讲述它。

故事大纲现在已经就位。在可预见的未来，我的目标是大约每六个月更新一次。

关于成人内容

我相信很多人都在关心这部分。嗯，我已经规划好了。

预计早期更新每次会包含1到3个成人场景，我会争取至少两个。

差不多就这些。ReRe……是的，我知道这个决定会有争议。但都这个逼样了，干嘛不试一试呢？

我还做了一些全新的角色模型，目前仍在琢磨如何把他们引出来。

哦对了，可能我会给软重启改个名字，只是..为了避谶？现在想来，蜉蝣这名字当游戏名还是有点太不吉利了。
