⚒️ TS4 Troubleshooting - Random Poor Performance with Unreliable Internet and Apps in Offline Mode.

• Do you have unreliable internet?

• Does your Origin or EA App randomly lose connection?

• Are you trying to play The Sims 4 with your app in Offline Mode?

• Does your Sims 4 game randomly drop from 60+ FPS to under 30 FPS, or if you're not monitoring your FPS like I am, does your game randomly start lagging and freezing like your device is about to have a total meltdown?

When The Sims 4 cannot access the internet either because the internet is unavailable or because your app is in Offline Mode, it starts !@#$ing around. The only way to stop this assholery is to navigate to Game Options > Other > and DISABLE Online Social Features Access.

This will disable your access to the Online Gallery.

When your internet is restored, you can simply reactivate it. If you have unreliable internet that regularly drops, leave it disabled and only enable it when you need it.

While you're at it, consider the following settings (some may be disabled already).

EA App (Origin has similar settings):

1. My account
   DISABLE Usage sharing

2. Application settings
   DISABLE Open the EA app automatically on startup
   DISABLE Enable background services
   DISABLE Enable in-game overlay (if you don't use it)

3. Download
   DISABLE Update games automatically
   DISABLE Enable background downloads

The Sims 4:

1. Sims Delivery
   SET Check for Sims Deliveries to Only On Startup
   DISABLE Automatically Download

2. Other
   DISABLE Online Social Features Access (as mentioned above)
   DISABLE Auto-Reconnect
   DISABLE Share Usage Data

Enjoy your Sims 4 game not running like trash simply because you don't have a reliable internet connection or simply because you prefer your app in Offline Mode.

This Online-Always Live-Service nonsense these publishers are pushing needs to stop. Your game shouldn't go ballistic the moment it can't phone home. EA operates like it's !@#$ing malware. There's no other way to say it.
