I've overhauled most of my BUGFIXES & BAND-AIDS except for two:
Lovestuck's Costume Box, which I am working on right now.
"PartMapping", which just needs a rename and re-release.
I might look into the two other requests in the "Itsumi Requests Chat" when I'm done with them, before moving on. They've been there a while, I apologize. Time flies and the internet is a chore, and things tend to slip my mind when I'm drowning in frustration.
I've also got a "me" post in draft that I should finish at some point.
I've also had "Encanto (2021)" on repeat in the background for a few hours. 😸

With America on the trajectory it's currently on, I wonder if we'll ever get movies like "Encanto" coming out of the U.S. again - y'know, movies led by non-white, non-male characters, that deal with mental health and familial abuse - since the current "authoritarian" U.S. President and his Secretary of Health and Human Services think those things are all toxic, D.E.I.A., "woke" propaganda.
Yes, I did just imply that they think non-white, non-male people are propaganda. 😹
Yes, there's an "A" at the end of D.E.I. It stands for "accessibility". It's there to ensure disabled / differently able people are accounted for and not discriminated against. It's rarely ever included when folks bring up the "D.E.I. agenda". Maybe "agenda" is what they think the "A" stands for?
If you genuinely don't know what I mean when I say "I wonder if we'll ever get movies like 'Encanto' coming out of the U.S. again", then you might not have been paying attention to everything happening in the U.S. over the past few months (which is understandable), and you might not be aware of what happened the last time that "current events" were the norm (which is also understandable).
Back in the day, not so long ago, there were rules that had to be followed when portraying certain people and topics in film and TV, and it appears that those rules are coming back worse than they were before.
I digress! We do not openly talk about "Bruno" here. 😹
But... !@#$'s getting worse over there, and the nonsense that the "Leader of the Free World" does, impacts all of us, because he is not the only person in the world who thinks and believes and tries to convince others of the stupid !@#$ he thinks and believes, and he emboldens others to behave the same way.
The only good thing to come out of the current state of the world is that everyone has become emboldened to be themselves - whatever "themselves" might be, like my father who skirted around being a hateful bigot until 2023 when he openly said he "wishes death on all of those people", and since he thinks I'm one of "those people", it means he wishes death on me too.
It's good to know who the people around you really are.
I don't need sympathies for that by the way, I'm accustomed to hearing hateful bigotry.
Did YouTube die or is the internet really THAT BAD right now that YouTube refuses to load, or is Google in the process of purging all progressive a.k.a. rational and logical thought from YouTube at the behest of the U.S. Dictator in Chief?

Is it "thought-policing" before or after they pass laws to criminalize "free speech" and threaten to black bag anyone who doesn't conform?

If it was "before", then how do you suppose anyone had the freedom to talk the batshit nonsense they've been talking these past few years to get us to where we are today?
Over the years we've really done a number on the line that divides "speech" and "hate speech", to the point that some folks willfully pretend not to understand the difference anymore.
That's the thing that has bothered me the most these past few years - it's the people pretending to be too stupid to understand simple things anymore.
I've always known that the bigotry and the hatred was there - you just had to look around - but this thing of pretending to be stupid is... it offends my brain. 🧠
Don't misunderstand, there are people who genuinely might not understand "the nuances" of... everything, etc., but a lot of people nowadays are simply pretending to not understand, because they really, really, really, just want to be "themselves" without consequences.
It doesn't actually "take all kinds to make the world go 'round". That's some !@#$ a bad egg made up to enable other bad eggs and force the rest of us to endure them - and yes, that applies to me and my "disposition" too.
We shouldn't need people "like me".
Maybe one day in the distant future we'll stop needing people "like me".
Or they'll just eradicate us like "Whac-A-Mole" and claim it's to protect the children, while they give a free pass to the real monsters, because going after the real monsters means going after the people next to them and the people who give them power. 😹
