πŸ¦„ I'm on YouTube! -- [22:05] ⚑ THE SAVED GAME CORRUPTION IS REAL! πŸ™€

https://www.youtube.com/@SejianIsModding

I've been on YouTube for years, just not with Sims content.

BUT NOW! NOW I'M ON YOUTUBE WITH SIMS CONTENT! HA! HAAAAAAA!

I have no mic and I can't really use my iPad for video editing with the screen spazzing out, so any videos I make will be basic as !@#$, but I would like to do more videos for my mods - especially for things like my work-in-progress BUGFIX for LOVESTRUCK Costume Box (that I should do my overrides for so it's an all-in-one BUGFIX), AnimXGenWear, and all my little Pie Menu mods that I haven't released yet.

β€”

I need to be careful with YouTube, so as to not get myself banned within a week for going full nightmare on Electronic Arts. You know I want to.

The content creators who are critical of Electronic Arts and their handling of The Sims 4 are few and far between, with small footprints.

The big creators who sometimes criticize Electronic Arts, don't do it often, and it's usually lost between all the "OMG DID YOU SEE THIS COOL NEW FEATURE! I AM SO IN LOVE! TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!1111111"

Did you know we apparently have/had/have an issue in-game that is corrupting save files, and if I remember correctly, it's linked to one of the DLCs?

I haven't watched all of these videos:

I also haven't investigated this.

I don't know if it's still a thing (though I assume that it is), or if EAxis has acknowledged it at all.

You'd think that for things like this there would be wall-to-wall coverage and intermittent updates, but there isn't.

Reminds me of our first malware incident.

In case you missed it, I reached out to a handful of our YouTube creators back when that happened, hoping they'd use their platforms to at least make everyone aware of what was happening.

I never got any response that I noticed, but I also can't say if any of them actually ever said anything, because I kinda stopped bothering to check after a while and just focused on trying to keep simmers updated with my big Reddit post... which has been collecting dust ever since the 6-month archiving rule kicked in.

β€”

F.Y.I. You might think that I'm a little heavy-handed in my approach to addressing certain things, but it gets the desired result sometimes, even if it comes with consequences.

I'm not saying that you need to behave like me.

I'm just saying that sometimes someone needs to fill that role.

"Expandable BuildBuy Catalog" got updated after damn near (2) years and at least a couple creators have taken "my personal request" to heart.

You don't ever need to thank me for those kinda things, but you're welcome all the same.

"CAS Filters" is the most popular thing I've done apart from my "Live Event Rewards Unlocker (FOMO Unlock)" and I fully intend to use the platform that it gives me to try to steer us on a better path, whether it be better PartFlags and Tags or better PACKAGE filenames.

I'm a simmer first and creator second.

I want the same things most simmers want - to enjoy the darn tootin' game - and every little step in the right direction helps.

And the catdamn internet just went down (5) more times while typing this post! πŸ˜ΎπŸ’€πŸ˜Ή

Cheers! πŸ’œ

I don't know if it's still a thing (though I assume that it is), or if EAxis has acknowledged it at all.

I was informed that this is a real thing and it's still a problem and it's a lot older than the DLC.

Apparently the DLC just exasperated the problem.

I was given a bunch of posts to read. I'll check them out and share them as soon as I'm able to and maybe do a BUGWATCH post for it.
