๐ My UPS died... -- SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
If you're tech savvy you'll know the importance of a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply).
For everyone else, a UPS is the big box that should be sitting somewhere near your computer that you plug errythang into. It regulates the electrical input/output and keeps your devices powered on (for a short time) when there's a blackout.
I should say though that there's a chance you won't know what a UPS is if you live in a country that has reliable electrical infrastructure and electricians who take pride in their work and employers who pay those electricians adequately.

A few days ago the electricity went and the UPS just !@#$ed off, but I didn't want to believe there could be a problem. Today it happened again, so I took a look...
One of the batteries is leaking because one of the connectors on the battery corroded and broke off. I have never seen this happen to a UPS, which means it could have been a manufacturer defect, but Trinidad isn't like Canada, the U.S., or the UK - we don't have "manufacturer warranty" here, we have "retailer warranty".
It's almost midnight and I don't want to deal with this !@#$ right now.
I'll check tomorrow if I still have "retailer warranty", which I highly doubt.
What this means is that until I can resolve this new problem, I might have to consider busting out an old laptop and migrating my modding. I cannot risk my computer dying because of the !@#$ electricity in this country. This is the third or fourth UPS I have gone through in TEN (10) YEARS. It's ridiculous.
