πποΈ [BG] RESO Silencio - Emotions
THIRTY-TWO (32) itty-bitty Resource Overrides to silence the sounds that play when our emotions change. The sound for your current emotion also plays when you load / resume your game if you've got the "New Game" sound disabled.
THERE'S A TOGGLE FOR THIS IN-GAME IN GAME OPTIONS Β» AUDIO Β» OTHER Β» "Enable Mood Sting". I suppose you could use the individual overrides for silencing certain emotions / moods if you so desire. Also, EAxis has broken toggles before and I have no faith in them to not break toggles again. πΈ
I've included an All-in-One ARCHIVE for this, and providing Patreon plays nice, the loose PACKAGES are in alphabetical order by emotion name.
There is ONE (1) more emotion override, if you dare. It's for GP07 and it has it's own individual post, which you will find linked below.

ββ THE PACKAGE FILENAME:
Contains the resource IDENTIFIER. I don't like how this looks, but it serves a purpose.
The tool I'm using to identify and preview these resources doesn't list everything, nor does it have names for everything, and it duplicates some things across different packs. There are a few sounds I have to manually search for and the only way I can identify them is with the resource IDENTIFIER. Keeping the IDENTIFIER in the filename in the specific location I've placed it, keeps me from accidentally overriding the same resource multiple times.
ββ TO ARCHIVE OR NOT TO ARCHIVE:
Like my Main Menu background overrides, I don't really see a point to ZIP-ING these.
I use ZIP ARCHIVES (even though it's kinda annoying and time consuming) because it's cleaner for the end-user - you. No "version" identifiers on PACKAGE filenames means you never have to worry about old versions conflicting with new versions because the filenames remain the same and you're prompted to overwrite them.
I don't think these things will ever need updating, and if they do, it'll be very infrequent.
There is always the possibility that EAxis could render these overrides obsolete by changing the IDENTIFIERS, but I can't see why they would - though to be fair, I can't see why EIGHTEEN (18) Deformer Maps are broken or why we had to wait SEVEN (7) MONTHS for a "fix" for our broken spines. <THROWS HANDS UP> Is a crapshoot, innit?
ββ PROJECT MIRRORS:
ββ CONTAINS (0) TS4SCRIPT + (1x32) PACKAGE:
This is a simple Audio Configuration override. There should never be TS4SCRIPT in here.
I've decided against ARCHIVING these. The PACKAGES attached here should always match the PACKAGES hosted or available Elsweyr, and vice versa.
This section exists to remind you that we are in someone's crosshairs. Rogue TS4SCRIPT files encountered where they don't belong could contain malicious PYTHON script that will attempt to infect your device and steal your personal information when executed by the game. If what was revealed was true, then the malware we saw in JAN-FEB 2024 can ruin lives. Don't !@#$ around.
Comments (2)
I've always unchecked the mood sting option because I find the audio SO jarring. But due to options breaking all the time anyway I'm totally still downloading all of these. Thank you as always! :D
You're welcome! I usually leave mine enabled but only because I can't be bothered to toggle it. Now I never have to. πΉ
