So, I made the mod and I've explained how to modify your INI to unlock your lost Happy At Home reward items. I've shared this thing everywhere that I can because I believe the way EA and EAxis has handled this lost reward situation is deplorable.
A post pops up concerning it and I share my stuff. Someone links another creator who tried to unlock them but couldn't, so being the good sport, I hop over to their page and in my usual comical fashion I say,

The comment disappears. I think, "OK, maybe Patreon doesn't like links?", so I make another comment without the link saying I've got a post on Patreon, Tumblr and Reddit concerning it and I got them all unlocked.
Boom! Access denied! No love between creators.😹

There are no subscription tiers on my Patreon because I currently could not benefit from it even if anyone wanted to support my ramblings but Patreon is doing some nonsense to appease Apple and it may or may not affect me.
Apple has told Patreon that in order to remain on the iOS App Store they have to force all creators - literally all of us whether or not any of our members are subscribing from iOS - to use the monthly subscription and that they will be taking their 30% from all transactions - at the expense of creators and their patrons.
Patreon, the platform by creators for creators - https://www.theverge.com/22543655/patreon-ceo-decoder-interview-jack-conte, has agreed to Apple's demands and is now forcing everyone to fall in line, and their brilliant solution to the 30% increase is to tell creators to increase their prices on iOS.
As other creators have said, Patreon could simply remove all transactions from their iOS app which will circumvent Apple's demands, as other big name services have done. No transactions mean nothing to 30% tax. Patreon's response to that is that you, yes you, the patron, are too pea-brained to understand that you'd need to login on a web browser to subscribe. I !@#$ you not, they didn't say it in those words, but that's what they meant when they said patrons would be "confused". I'll screenshot it and add it to the attached images.
It's some corporate and capitalist bullshit. Apple wants in on the top earners on Patreon who make like over 80k a month - look at this !@#$ https://news.patreon.com/articles/podcasters-earn-350-million-on-patreon - and I have no idea what Patreon gains from this other than the ire of some of the people who help keep Patreon going.
How this affects me since my Patreon is Free Membership is currently unknown. The transition is happening in November 2024 butwe have the option to postpone it til December 2025.
The other bit about this is that Apple does not tolerate NSFW content on iOS and while I don't share NSFW stuff (yet), I have flagged my account as NSFW in the event I go off the deep end in one of my rants.
Patreon already doesn't appear to care for NSFW creators - we are hidden from search results and we are omitted from many features like the snazzy new Recommended Creators feature - but the fear is that Apple could then tell Patreon they don't want us on iOS, and Patreon, being ever so Apple-appeasing, will unceremoniously axe all of our accounts, like other services have done in the past - encourage NSFW creators onto their platforms in order to grow the platform to appease the shareholders, then axe those creators when they're no longer needed. I'm a man of the people! You won't see me raising pitchforks against NSFW creators.
I'm not yet ready to do for Patreon and Apple what I did for EA and "Maxis" a few months ago - https://www.patreon.com/posts/99833884 - but I also didn't want this post to just be me complaining that I got content-blocked 😹 and also, I meant to post about this since the day I got notified.
I finally have my Tumblr up and running and Patreon isn't going anywhere. I could always do a Ko-fi or SubscribeStar or something in the future when I can actually benefit from it. Monthly subscriptions will not work for me because my RL bullshit can and does sometimes remove me from the internet for weeks or months or years at a time - I was MIA for most of 2023 and this year there were months where I was MIA for two to three weeks at a time. Sometimes I have no forewarning.
Also, Patreon is apparently having server issues today.

⚡ 8/15/2024 - Patreon is now saying Apple's ultimatum is actually do in-app monthly subscription transactions or get off of iOS. Why not be upfront about this initially instead of all the PR bullshit trying to convince creators that it's in our best interest and iOS engagement is the best thing ever and we don't even know? They must know how this looks, and it looks like Some More Bullshit™ since they're getting push-back from the creator community. ────⋆⋅⚡ IN OTHER HAPPY AT HOME AND MODDING NEWS:
I submitted a ticket to CurseForge asking if I could upload the mod. I assume the answer will be no, but if it isn't I'll upload it. ⚡ 8/19/2024 - The answer was no, as expected.
My stuff will always be available through Sim File Share or Google, if I have to revert for any reason. Eventually I will just publicly share root folder access to my Sim File Share.
This nonsense with Patreon took about a day's focus away from AnimXGenWear but I'm back on it.
I'm getting a bit irritated holding onto it so I kinda want to initial release it later today. I have such machinations for this thing but trying to realize them all before release will take a lot of time.
