Academy Class System Preview
Hi everyone!
The next update will introduce the foundation of the new Academy Class System, one of the bigger structural additions I’ve wanted to bring to the game for quite a while.
Until now, attending class has mostly been a simple daily action used to improve your academic stats. With this new system, Academy life will start feeling like an actual part of your weekly routine, something you can plan around, benefit from, or completely neglect at your own risk. 😅
Using the new Classes phone app, you’ll be able to choose up to three active classes, organize your weekly schedule, track your progress, complete assignments, visit professors during office hours, and see how your performance translates into grades, rewards, and consequences.
The first version will include:
Weekly class planning directly from your phone
Up to three active classes at a time
Progress tracking and current grade estimates
Classroom attendance tied to specific courses
Professor office hours for extra progress, favor, and stress relief
Weekly grade resolution with detailed result summaries
Class assignments with weekly limits and unique effects
Clear requirement summaries and grade breakdowns
New professors, character profiles, backgrounds, and class assets
Early story integration through Dr. Stone’s Academy Foundations class
My goal is to make school life feel like more than background flavor. Choosing what to study, when to attend class, when to chase professor favor, and when to ignore your responsibilities in favor of… other Academy activities should create much more meaningful weekly decisions.
As always, I’m keeping the system optional and as non-grindy as possible. It should offer useful rewards and new opportunities without turning the game into a school attendance simulator. You’ll have several ways to progress, and how seriously you take your education will remain entirely up to you.
This is still the foundation pass, so the system will continue to grow over time with more classes, stronger professor personalities, class-specific events, personal teacher storylines, and deeper connections to the Academy’s social, House, perk, and story systems.
Thanks again for supporting the project! This is a big step toward making the Academy feel more alive, structured, and, of course, dangerous in all the right ways. 😈
