NSFW Academy v0.8.1 - Now Available to ALL Pledgers!
Heya everyone!
Version 0.8.1 is now officially available to ALL pledger tiers! 🎉
This update is mostly focused on expanding the systems introduced with 0.8, improving some rough edges based on your feedback, and, most importantly, introducing the first MVP of the Dynamic Stories System (DSS).
🔄 Dynamic Stories System : First MVP
The first official version of the Dynamic Stories System is now in the game!
This is the foundation for a system designed to generate reusable side stories throughout the sandbox instead of having every piece of content be a one-time scripted event.
For this first MVP, DSS now supports generated story offers, persistent/save-backed story instances, moderated rewards, cooldowns, Log Book integration, and the underlying tools I'll need to keep expanding it in future updates.
Two existing/new activities are already using the system:
Smiley's private offer at The Pit has been converted into a repeatable Dynamic Story. The original unlock remains, but future offers can now arrive through DMs when the appropriate conditions are met.
Anonymous Measurement Survey is a brand-new repeatable Dynamic Story! It includes DM offers, NPC selection through Who's Around, different negotiation possibilities, randomized visual closeups, and a 7–12 day cooldown before it can appear again.
This is still the Tier 0 MVP of DSS, so consider this the foundation rather than the finished system. I have a LOT more planned for it.
🔎 Investigation Board, Damian to the Rescue!
I've also added a little safety net for players struggling with the Clover investigation.
After repeated failed attempts to solve the Investigation Board, Damian can now DM you and offer targeted hints to help point you in the right direction.
You still have to solve the investigation yourself, but you shouldn't end up completely stuck anymore.
🏠 Geoffrey Story Fallback
I've also addressed some feedback regarding Geoffrey's current story endpoint.
Until his next properly authored story content is added, his final interaction can now become repeatable with diminishing payouts.
This should make his current storyline feel less like it suddenly hits a wall while also preventing the repeatable scene from becoming an infinite full-value money farm.
🐛 Bug Fixes
A couple of annoying bugs also got squashed:
Fixed night-event notifications displaying raw [event.location.title()] text instead of the actual location name.
Fixed generic NPC selection occasionally grabbing special NPCs for random events. No, Director Rosengrant, you were definitely not supposed to be there. 😅
🌎 And 0.7.3.2 is now PUBLIC!
With 0.8.1 rolling out to all pledgers, I'm also updating the free public version of NSFW Academy!
Version 0.7.3.2 is now available to everyone!
And if you've been playing an older public build, there's quite a bit waiting for you in 0.7.3.2 including the Eros frat house, its activities and progression, along with the other systems and content introduced throughout the 0.7.3 updates.
