💖 Alpha 0.5.3 – Pledger Release: Dating System Update 💖

Time for another juicy pledger-only update, and this one’s a big milestone: the Dating System is finally here! 🎉
✨ New Features & Content
NEW: Dating Sim!
You can now build up relationships with any NPC in the game and even take them out on dates… and more 👀New Venues on the City Map
Stadium – now added as a new visitable venue.
Cinema – head over to watch a movie to improve your mood, reduce stress, or invite your favorite NPC for a date.
New Sex Scene Variation
Added a unique MC dorm room scene, exclusively available when dating black NPCs.
🛠 Bug Fixes & Balance Changes
Added a scrollable mailbox – long lists of mails now display properly with a vertical scrollbar.
Ensured that the effect overlay is always visible during gameplay.
Fixed a rare library dare challenge bug.
Adjusted daily grade decay logic: grades won’t drop on days where you attend at least one class.
Added a condom effect icon for clarity during sex scenes.
Improved debug logging to make bug reports more detailed and helpful.
Added a map button handler to guarantee the map always opens correctly (city_hub or campus_hub).
Reviewed & updated the Timothy Event for consistency with the new systems.

I started a new game in the Android version. I encountered a few problems I'd like to report: 1.) There doesn't appear to be a way to access the menu for manual game saves. Whereas with PC I can right-click, I obviously can't do that on a touch screen. Maybe consider adding a menu icon somewhere on the Android version? perhaps inside the cell phone? The automatic saves seem totally random. (or would it work if I added a blue tooth mouse purely for access to a mouse pointer to right click?) 2.) Similarly, without a keyboard, there doesn't appear to be a way to take screenshots without menus showing. Maybe add a screenshot button that you'd click to just take a screenshot without menus and otherwise show the menus? 3.) When opening the cell phone my on screen keyboard immediately opens itself covering half the screen - which includes the cell phone icon making it difficult to close. 4.) Items related to pregnancy don't seem to work. At all. I made sure to use the after pill and got the message that pregnancy was avoided because it was used within 2 days, but the next day got the seeded message. Tried reloading a prior save, even used the injection that prevents pregnancy, and used the after pill then bought another after pill and used it again and still got seeded. Then aborted it, paying $5000, and saw the seed icon go away, but the very next day was seeded again. I then got 5 days in a row, each day getting seeded and immediately after aborting, and not doing any intimacy, and there just does not seem to be a way to stop it. I otherwise like the game still. It otherwise feels stable and it's not draining battery life like other games tend to.
Addendum to #4 - I just now loaded an older save and managed to get an abort to stick so I think what triggers that bug is this: If an accidental cream pie occurs while already seeded, and before getting the abort, you end up re-seeded after the abort in a loop. The issue with the birth control otherwise persists though.
I noticed that when I copy the save folder from public build release 0.5.2.1 the saves show up, but the game crashes trying to load them. Will I have to start totally over with each new build, or is that just an issue when moving between public and backer builds? And, related question: If I play the Android build via the APK and install a later member build will it update the game (with saves intact) or will it be a totally different game icon? In general, I am liking the game overall. In particular I found it novel that under some circumstances bad decisions are made by the character's circumstances and mood rather than the logical player which is fairly realistic. In real life it's often the choices made leading up to the bad choices that are most impactful.
I don’t have a android device to test it myself. I need to read some doc to see how to assign a icon to the game in Android

Thank you for the bug report. I am working on a hotfix version of the game to be released asap and this will be fixed into it.
