Sil (Species) WIP 👽

Hello dear patrons,

I’d like to share a work in progress of Sil with you.

My workspace has already filled up with a whole collection of references - sketches and screenshots from this amazing film. I even managed to find original sketches by Giger, which is incredibly inspiring. I can say that this model turned out to be more challenging than I expected (even more than the Creature from the Black Lagoon) 😅

The main challenge is that I’m working with a transitional stage - between the alien form and her human appearance, like in the poster. And there’s something very strange and beautiful about it at the same time. I want to capture this state - when she is no longer human, but not yet something else. I hope I’ll be able to achieve a strong likeness and convey all that biomechanical detail.

Thank you so much for your support and for all your kind comments on the previous post 🙏❤️
