1.39d Release
Hey all! Sorry, yesterday was a bit crazy. I had been working late the night before to get ST30 out into the OP16 queue, alongside eight bug fixes. One of the fixes (Soul Pocus), unexpectedly took several hours so I ended up kicking off builds a little after 1am. In the morning I found that iOS had new build errors which took another hour to fix and eventually I got 1.39b out.
Unfortunately as many of you saw, that Soul Pocus bug fix ended up breaking many other Trigger effects / Life Taken effects such as Nami leader and Kalgara, and it took me two more attempts to get everything working properly, resulting in us ending up at version 1.39d here.
1.39d is stable for the most part, however unrelated to the Soul Pocus bug, the iOS compilation fix I had to make ended up breaking a piece of tech for cards that target "Two different target types for one action".
This includes:
OP13-078 Imu Leader
OP16-001 Ace Leader
PRB02-017 Boa character
Among others (haven't looked into the full list yet, but stuff like Bepo etc). This bug will be fixed in the next version but that version won't be available right away like the last flurry of version releases.
As many of you know, the sim continues to grow and currently supports around 40,000 active daily users and 160,000 monthly users. Which means that when new releases hit lately we've sometimes been reaching Google Drive and Dropbox download caps that I am already paying to increase, even without multiple releases in the same day like this drop.
To that end, if you are a trusted community member and would like to help host the latest sim version, please do so and let your community know where to find it.
I've also created torrent files this time for peer-to-peer sharing of the sim. I recommend qBittorrent as it's a safe Open Source client for opening torrent files (torrenting is just a way for you to download directly from my computer / other people hosting the same file, I've shared about 200GB from my machine since last night).
I've also seen a few people saying they are seeing old version download links on the website, if that is the case for you then you probably just need to clear your browser cache to force the latest version of the website to load.
There are some other tricks you can do like bypassing the Google Drive download limit that are pinned in the various discord channels (general-op-discussion, sim-help etc).
And lastly I'll go ahead and post the full files on here for paid members this time, we'll see how much traffic that generates and if that's a viable method going forward for splitting up the downloads.
TL;DR 1.39d live, Dropbox and Drive links might be congested so try torrenting / asking a trusted community member to host their own. I'll also post some links for paid members here on patreon.
1.40a is in the works for more bug fixes but is still probably a couple days away.
