DevTalk: Tutorial System

Hi Patrons!
Long time no see!

As we continue refining the user experience ahead of release, we’ve focused on implementing a tutorial system that is both intuitive and non-intrusive.

At the current pre-release stage, the simplest and most effective solution we’ve defined is a short-form video tutorial system, presented directly before the player interacts with a new feature. These videos are designed to be quick, clear, and easily replayable at any time.

When you encounter a new feature, a tutorial frame appears.

The frame includes:

  • A page indicator (to show progression within the tutorial)

  • Short explanations describing the feature

  • Navigation buttons: Next / Back and Finish

Our goal is to keep onboarding smooth without interrupting the flow of gameplay. Players who want guidance have it readily available, while those who prefer to explore independently are not forced into long, rigid tutorials.

This system also gives us the flexibility to iterate quickly during development and improve tutorials based on your feedback.

As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts, especially on clarity, pacing, and whether the tutorials feel helpful without being intrusive.
