My mother. I'm very emotionally distanced from my dad, and my mom was kind of the "pillar" in my life, for the most part...

When you say most love for me it also incorporates pure intentions for that love. That reminds me of my aunty . Fun fact her nickname translated from Bangla to English is bird. Anyway some context my mother had twelve siblings since she was born in the 1970s in a third world country. Out of those twelve a majority of her siblings both brothers and sisters screwed her over financially or tried to control and cage her in their home. Luckily my mom was a badass in her own right and forged a path for herself and made her own money and found her own place to live alone. Those betrayals stayed with her tho making her decide to cut out most of her siblings from her life even post getting married. My aunty bird was one of the ones she remained close with even after having me and my brother. Anyway both my mom and aunty were in the teaching profession. My mom wanted me to take an entrance exam to a good 3-12 all in one school that had a good reputation. This meant lots of studying and getting yelled at or physically repremanded, but whenever she was around she would make my mom see reason. Whenever my aunty would come some weekends to cook with my mom and spend time together and whenever that happend it meant my brother and I could stop studying for a little while or even the whole day. My mom made my aunty tutor me at times and while she was teaching me just like my mom did she was not my mom so she did not get more aggressive then calling out my stupidity. This contrast between my mom and her made her my safe haven as a child. I would look forward to going to her place because other then studying time she would make me lemonade, talk affectionately about me and to me , sometimes affectionately touch me or just let me watch cartoons on her television. She would also play a game called airplane with me as a child. It was basically her lifting me with her legs and then bringing me down. Her cooking was what I enjoyed second to my moms. When my mom later reconnected with her siblings and I learned what they did to her my appreciation for my aunties bond and sisterly love with my mom increased due to the genueness and purity behind it. This extended to my aunties treatment of me and my brother as well. Whenever anyone else was talking to me or being affectionate to me from my mom's family it was to get money from my dad or mom, a facade of niceness or just following social convention. This made aunty bird stand out to me because I could trust her intentions and love for me. There wss no family politics going on there. No pretenses whenever she needed money she was honest about why and never tried sneaky tactics to get it. Because I was a kid I did not have the understanding to reciprocate her love for me to fullest extent to show her my gratitude and was just affectionate to her and talked to her whenever she showed up . My parents fought a lot when I was a child both verbally and physically leading to my mom wanting to leave my father many times ,but could not because of us kids. This led to her being depressed and wanting an exit from life alongside us kids. I remember vividly how my mom told me and my brother to take poison with her and die. My aunty saved my mother me and my brother. Thanks to her my mom got better and healthier. That helped me have a happier and healthier home environment. Aunty always treated my brother and me like we were her own since she was not able to have her own due to health issues. That is why aunty bird is the person who showed me and my family the most love in my eyes. Thanks Lav for reminding me of some repressed memories and that now that I am old enough to appreciate her I should call and thank her for everything properly. The person I felt most loved by as a child was one of my female cousins. You already know how much I wanted an older sister as a child well that was my cousin for me as a child. I loved going to her parents home to hangout with her. She use to tell me ghost stories, teach and play games with me , and hugged me a lot. I remember going to her school once to pick her up. I was so excited I loudly called out to her and ran up hugged her. I remembered how loved I felt when she reciprocated my hug in that moment and called me in an affectionate way. Context there is a long zebra crossing from her school gates to where the parents pick up the kids. I remember how in that moment she instinctively grabbed my hand and helped me safely cross the road. I know now that anyone older then six or seven is told to do that with young kids , but back then that made me love her even more and think of her as the ideal older sister figure at the time. My longing for a sister and the things she did for me made me love her very much. Final thoughts this question is so beautiful Lav. My aunty showed me the most love as a child, yet I felt the most loved by my female cousin. There is a lesson in that. We often appreciate what we want more then what we already have until it's too late. Please don't take love for granted.

My parents definitely showed me the most love. Specifically my Mom. She has always been there for me loving and supporting me. Regardless of how much of a headache I would cause both of them. She has sacrificed so much for my family. I hate that I can't give back half of what she gave. She deserves the world.

My dog, Mia. We got her when I was barely 6 years old. I have autism, and at the time really struggled being social and keeping my emotions in check. She was by my side through all of it, always in my bed or playing in the dirt with me. I still have her collar, hangs in the rearview mirror of my racecar. She loved car rides, and I always like to think she’s right there with me when I’m out on the track or the twisty backroads. Even 9 years after her passing, it’s hard to live without her some days.
