The Debugger Encroaches
I just posted a big thread on BigPEmu debugger features here:

I apologize if non-Twitter users can't see the thread, Twitter is having some serious issues lately. I regret being tied to the platform at all, but this is the future we allowed for ourselves. I think we should go back to RSS feeds or .plan files and IRC. Fight the corporate fucker-power. I fully recognize the irony of writing this in a post on Patreon.
Anyway, I just wanted to let my patrons know that I managed to get, collectively, a whole bunch of work done on debug builds over the last month. I'm hoping to get a Patreon-exclusive debugger build up reasonably soon, hopefully within the next week or 2. It'll then go public at a later date, as per usual.
I think this will be a life-altering tool for a lot of Jaguar developers. I'm looking forward to wrapping it up, because I'm honestly a lot more excited about the other emulator features still on the agenda. Debugger implementation is mostly grunt work, even though it's still very valuable. I'm sure there'll be a flood of fix and feature requests once it's out there, since I'm the only person who's ever used any of this stuff, and it represents a pretty wide array of functionality. So I'll be fielding that gradually while I move into more exciting features like VR, more scripting functionality, and ports. Ports also aren't very exciting, again mostly grunt work, but I think it will be relatively painless. As someone who ported massive and terribly written codebases across platforms for years, I'm pretty conditioned into writing platform-agnostic code and recognizing where all of the pain points will be when I begin porting.
Anyway, still alive, albeit usually in quite a bit of pain, and still having occasional sprees of productivity. As always, my love and gratitude is with every one of you who continues to support me here, and I really hope I get to live for a while and reach a better quality of life so that I can keep growing this base of support with new brainchildren.

Thanks for everything, Rich. I'll upgrade to a better laptop for bigpemu soon! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I've been a punk since I was 16 years old, fronting multiple bands for years, so I can absolutely echo the "fight the corporate fucking power" chant forever. Fuck yeah. Thanks again for the update, and hope that you reach that improved QOL and relative stability asap. Nobody deserves to be in constant pain.
Thanks for all the work you continue to do, Rich! I trust the community will do great stuff with these awesome tools. And, yeah, I still use RSS with anyone that has active feeds, though I know that's a minority these days. Mastodon is a viable, publicly-accessible option for Twitter that many are now using. I assumed the Twitter meltdowns would slow down after a while, but at this point, I think it'll just keep degrading until it hits some rock-bottom state that's still somewhere beyond the horizon...
