Games Update
Super Battle Decks
Thanks for the feedback on the latest version of Super Battle Decks - here are the results of the recent poll:
1. Overhaul game mechanics
2. Add in more armor
3. More long form endings
Starting with the first, I have a few ideas about how to change up the game mechanics to streamline play and make things a bit more player friendly based on what's seen in a lot of modern deck builder games (i.e. Slay the Spire).
(mostly) remove mana filling cards from the game / start with a set amount of mana
this should also reduce starter deck size significantly, allowing for more customization
default draw 5 cards instead of 2 cards each turn, discard unplayed cards at the end of the turn - more options / strategies available
reduce opponent attack cycles to a single attack rather than multiple cards - should make the game faster and easier to follow while still achieving the same basic end goal.
Add smaller encounters in between the larger boss fights to allow for more rewards and other.
Excited about some of the opportunity to weave in some story to the game with these updates as well. Hope to have most of these implemented in tested in the next couple of weeks.
Armor Breaker
Armor breaker is getting a bug fix and balance as some of the previous secrets (including a hidden fight with Noir) didn't work as intended. Also adding a true gallery with all 83 pictures and some other assorted fixes. Look for the updated file coming sometime next week.
Trap Dungeon
I took a little bit of a break because the first level wasn't coming out quite as well as I had hoped, as I am pushing some of the limitations of the simple game design editor I use. That being said, I almost have the first level complete and will probably release to Patrons for testing, but I am considering a redesign or repurposing of the assets based on Patron comments.
