Russozl Insta360 v0.4.2 - First Test Release

Camera Mod for Assetto Corsa

This is the first test release of the Russozl Insta360 camera modification for Assetto Corsa. This mod simulates an Insta360-style camera with realistic pole physics and smooth movement dynamics.

Key Features

  • Pole Physics System: Realistic camera movement based on G-forces and car dynamics

  • Mouse Control: Right-click and drag to manually control camera rotation

  • Shake Effects: Configurable camera shake based on car acceleration

  • Advanced Physics: Spring-damper system with customizable stiffness and damping

  • Manual Rotation: Full pitch, yaw, and roll control relative to the car

  • G-Force Response: Separate multipliers for lateral, vertical, and longitudinal forces

Important Compatibility Warning

This mod cannot be used together with Russozl Mobile Cam due to conflicts. If you have Russozl Mobile Cam installed, you must move it to a different folder before using this mod. You can do this while the game is running. Both mods cannot function simultaneously.

Track Limitations: The mod currently does not work properly on large tracks such as Shutoko and Hamburg. I am working on a solution for this issue.

CSP Compatibility: This mod may work better with older CSP versions such as 2.8 preview. Current CSP versions may experience compatibility issues.

I am currently working on solutions to resolve these compatibility issues.

Controls

  • Right Mouse Button: Hold and drag to look around

  • UI Sliders: Adjust all camera parameters in real-time

  • Reset Functions: Quick reset for camera rotation and all settings

Installation

  • Extract the mod files to your Assetto Corsa apps folder

  • If you have Russozl Mobile Cam, move it to a different location

  • Launch Assetto Corsa and activate the app

Technical Details

  • Reduced lateral movement compared to previous versions

  • Corrected mouse axis mapping for natural camera control

  • Removed forward/backward movement issues

  • Improved pole physics with proper force calculations

  • Enhanced G-force delay system for realistic camera response

Testing Phase

This is an early test release. Please report any issues or feedback regarding performance, compatibility, or functionality. Your input will help improve the mod for future releases.

Version Notes (v0.4.2)

  • Removed: 360 mode, FOV logic, CSP dependencies

  • Added: Mouse control system based on MobileCam

  • Modified: Reduced lateral physics movements

  • Fixed: Forward/back movement removed, corrected mouse axes
