UPDATE: We've improved the head attachment system
Hi again,
You can see how the new system works.
From the neck side it is still the same ball, and from the head side there is now a span pin. Insert the pin until it clicks into the head and now the head will be securely held on the pin. If model has several heads you need to print the same number of pins as the heads.
And another thing is you need to print the pin in horizontal position using auto supports. In this case the pin turns on quite durable.
We're going to change all our previous models to this system over time. You can leave in the comments your suggestions which models we should redo first.
We are sure, that many of you can set auto supports but just in case we'd like to show you how we do it in Prusa Slicer
The pin has a horizontal position (orientation).
Then we set support material (right click on the pin and then click on Support Material). Then click on the Generate support material check box.
And after slicing we get these supports.
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this improvement and know what you'll get. And also which models we should redo first.
Thank you for your support!
With lots of love and hugs 💜💜💜

I am not sure where this file is? Where may I find it?
Also what is the scale of the bigger one?
Will the pin print and work OK standing up? The way it auto orientation it in bambu?
oh, I'm afraid it won't work. We highly recommend to print the pin horizontally, especially the pin of the new head attachment system. If you like, I can make guidelines to show how to set auto supports in Bambu studio )
Where can I get this model?
Hi! Thank you for joining us on Patreon! You can download the HFP_Labrador zip file in attachments in this post https://www.patreon.com/posts/93014918
Really excited to try the new head design! We stopped printing/selling most of your designs a while back because of repeated issues with the heads breaking, so we are hoping to be able to add these back to our rotation with the new design.
We're sorry to hear about the issues you had( We hope now everything will be much better and without any issues! And please, let us know your experience with the new head attachment system. Maybe there will be still something to be improved.
I need this for all your cats. Been trying to figure out the best way to glue all the pins in and tempted to print all the pins laying flat so the neck doesn't snap easily.
Okay! Cats first ) Yeah, the previous pins and the way of printing them aren't great and the new ones must be much better. The only thing is the angle of rotation is a bit less due to thickness of the pin.
You have done EXACTLY what I was hoping you would do. I had a few sales over Christmas and they came back to me saying they had issues with the head - These are repeat buyers so they are very nice about it all and were happy to wait until a solution came up. I am so thrilled and thankful that you've done this.
Oops I forgot to ask! Would it be possible to get the "fat cat" head done high up on the list? As that's the one that I need to replace the head on for a customer :)
