NEW DESIGN: Chick Clicker (#69)
Hi guys! We decided to try a new product - a clicker. Our plan is to create a few designs and see how they are received. If the feedback and demand are good, we'll continue making them. We personally like them a lot! 🙂
And here’s the first clicker – the Chick.
It consists of two parts: the eggshell (base) and the chick.
The chick comes in two versions: solid and with slots for the eyes and beak.
The diameter of the eyes is 6 mm.
We used Outemu Blue (Cherry MX Blue) switches.
There are also two types of chicks: a regular one and one with a slot for attaching the eggshell to the head.
A pre-painted 3MF (Bambu Studio) file is included in the archive. In the 3MF file, we have also pre-set supports for the upper part of the eggshell, and for the chick's body, we have added Brim Ears for the attachment to the keyboard switch and set seams.
We hope you'll enjoy it and it'd be interesting to hear your thoughts about the clicker.
Happy printing and have a wonderful weekend!
With lots of hugs 💜💜💜

Silly question... how on earth do you attach clicker to bottom of chick? I can't get the +'s to actually attach and if the full + was fully inserted into chick, there would be no space for clicking?
If I understand the issue correctly, then you need to: 1) Make sure you're using the correct switch (it's Outemu Blue (Cherry MX Blue). 2) If the switch is correct, try scaling down the chick slightly so that the "+" fits snugly into the slot, and the part with the slot can slide into the switch without resistance or friction. There is always enough space for the clicking mechanism — it seems like the connector might be too wide to fit into the recess properly. Sorry if my explanation is hard to follow — it’s difficult to describe this in English using only words. If it’s still not working, feel free to send me a direct message!
These are the ABSOLUTE CUTEST!!!!!
Thank you 🙏💜
Hi, im about to order some switches. Will these Outemu Blue (Cherry MX Blue) switches work with all your clickers going forward if you make more?
Hi, yeah, I will be designing specifically for these switches. They are quite popular and make a fairly loud click.
Oh! They look sooooo cute!
Thank you, Iryna. I'm glad you like it 💜💜💜
What keyboard switch did you use?
Thank you for your question. We used Outemu Blue (Cherry MX Blue) switches.
