NEWS: We've redesigned the head attachment system!
Hi guys,
We have great news for you)
We've redesigned the head attachment system and first tests shows that it works great even with basic PLA and Rainbow Silk PLA!
What has been done?
1) 'Petals' (the attachment in the body). The hinge receiver consists of 3 petals tightly and firmly holding the pin ball. There are also limiters provided to prevent the petals from breaking.
2) Pin. Now you can print the pin without any supports. The pin is printed horizontally from the bed. The head of the pin has deeper teeth that securely hold the head of the toy.
You can download the test set of the neck, pin and head our new dog design to make some tests with your filaments. If you think the pin goes a bit freely, you can print it a bit bigger (1-2%).
By the way, if you make a slot for a magnet, you can make a fridge magnet.
Guys, we need your help! If you have an opportunity to test it, please let us know your results and what printers and filaments you use for it. We'd be very very appreciated!
After getting more feedback on the new system we're going to remake all our previous designs to it.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts, opinion and suggestions )
With love and hugs 💜💜💜

a tighter hold on some of the dogs would be great, I can barely keep the dachshunds head on
yeah, unfortunately that's a problem. And the new improved system gives us a big hope that that problem will be fully solved ) And then we apply this system to all our previous designs )
I can't wait to try this out!!!!! One printer down currently.... so once I get a chance I will print!. 7 hours left on my current print.
Oh, we're so sorry to hear about your printer ( We hope, it's possible to fix it as soon as possible. Thank you a lot! Look forward to hearing your results )
I just printed using Kingroon silver PLA on Bambu P1S using default .20mm standard setting, .4 nozzle. (The only thing I changed was sparse infill to gyroid). It works great and holds the pose, not too tight and not too loose. It also snapped easily into neck first then snapped head on easily as well. I'll try some silk next with the exact same settings. Printed and functions perfectly with Kingroon tri silk as well. The silk was a little tighter getting the head on the pin but seems to function just as well as normal PLA.
Thank you so much for letting us know your results! That's great! We also made some more tests and so far everything is going just great!
Excited for the dog displayed here! I’ll give this a test print as soon as I get home
Now Westie is available with that new system, so when you give it a shot - let us know your results! ) That'd be interesting to know it ) Thank you!
could the pin be printed with the body model? I have a hard time grabbing those small pins and inserting them into the bodies..
I agree with this
This is why I love your work. It's always "how can we make this work better". I will give this a go when I have a free printer with a few filaments. They'll be upscaled so will be good to see if they pose a bit better too!
Shannon, thank you so much! That'd be so great to know your opinion on the new system ))
