PARALIVES - First build & thoughts about the game

Hi, everyone! I finally had time to play this brand new game: Paralives. First of all, for me it was a cozy and relaxing experience!

Talking about the elephant in the room, a lot of people compare it to The Sims and expect it to be a Sims killer. My opinion is to see Paralives as its own game with its own style.

Playing I had a few bugs but it’s completely normal at this stage of development. The team looks very active which gives me confidence in the future of this game. The level of customization is insane, the freedom to adjust, resize, the color wheel, etc allowed me to explore creativit. At the same time, that freedom can become a challenge if you’re an indecisive person (like me lol).

I didn’t played “live mode” because I love to build and to be honest this is the reason why I bought it.

Overall, my first experience has been positive. This game still has room to grown, but for now it’s looking solid with potential!!

I’d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve tried as well!! 🍃

I bought it too, and for the moment I'm not really a fan. (In fact, I got a lot of sh!t for it on social media, since I'm supposed to be swooning over it and disowning The Sims). I find the game enjoyable, but after tweaking The Sims so much to make it exactly what I'm looking for, it's hard for me to move on to something else. So yes, it's great to have an improved TOOL directly integrated into the game, but that's not everything. I have 150G of CC that enhances my Sims 4, so I think PL is good, but not amazing. We'll see if they manage to keep their promises in the future. But too many people are complaining, even though The Sims has been around for 10 years, and I do get the impression that they're no longer listening to the players, but I get what I want from it without actually paying (I prefer to give to the CC creators).

I enjoyed a lot of the customization in the game, but at the same time started to find some of it overwhelming because there really is so much customization, in both build mode and paramaker mode too. I feel like Paralives is different enough, that it can co-exist along side the Sims. It doesn't have to be one or the other. Yes, there are similarities, but it's different enough in my opinion.
