While toxic gas has its merits, I don't think you can beat a good old fashioned plague, it gets into all those strongholds that crowds of malnourished repressed resistance types love to hang out in! :)
Another great way to deal with human resistance is to do literally nothing about it. Historically, guerrilla groups have survived mostly thanks to support and cover provided by local communities that live in the open under the hostile authorities. But barren radioactive desert isn't very good at supplying anyone with food, ammunition, or medical items. And because life isn't an 80's movie, hydroponic farms, water purifiers, chemical labs, ammo production equipment, and TIME MACHINES, can't be made out of shit and sticks. So yes, toxic gas is an awesome way to proceed, but even without it the resistance is going to be a tiny bit of a nuisance for just a bit longer. 🤷🏻♂️

I LOVE that look on "the robot"'s face in the 4th panel. Pure robot innocence (in the third) to absolute contempt for idiocity.
When you have to invent or steal time travel to fix your mistakes, you really have let things slide out of your control....
Of course, that goes for the Humans in Terminator too.
If you really think about, Skynet *was* very ineffective and inefficient. :)
