I think that Ethan is going to find out about this plan and 'save' X1
I don't like that they hide the failsafe. We have police who could stop us (shot us in the US) if we go on a killing spree. That they have a more efficient way than that for a being capable of a more efficient way of doing a killing spree is something you can argue about.
I don't really like where this is going - i mean sure he can convince them but ... this is no free will. No free creature will stay put in a room if the last days you were confined to a bed/prison cell. I mean maybe biological creatures will like to see and hear birds, flowers, streams . No idea what a robot will do. But if you promise a freedom - you should expect the other side to at least test it. A single room in the basement is not freedom. It is still a prison. Also we are all free ... to do anything at any time. Closing the door in someones face, cursing in public transport or go on murder spree - it is all in the realm of possibilities given the right state of mind. But we avoid doing all those things (99.9% of the time and population). This is freedom and free will. Having a charge in your head that limits you to a single room ... is not freedom. Especially if you don't know it - then its a cruel ("Saw" movie) construct. Lets play a game ...
The building seems like a better bet. The first thing I could see happening is Ethan taking to the main gaming area to play some multiplayer in a better setup or coop vr.
I'm without internet (going on day 3 now) thanks to Isaias. No hotspot. I had to transfer the img file to my phone and upload it via the patreon app to get this posted . No idea why the image looks like that. I'll replace it whenever I get internet back.
