I'm midway through a re-watch of BSG right now, so I get where Scott is coming from but DAMN that's cold. TBF not surprising given that he transferred the kill command to himself and lied about it.

Hmm... Is this where they have a disagreement and they and Scott part ways? and Zeke joins up? And Scott comes back down the road as their nemesis?

Well retiring is the only way you'll be able to keep up with the kids schooling.

So I'm guessing this is where the fear of Skynet and Armageddon comes into play. Scot is more rational than them and sees a strong potential threat here.
