Seen it. Enjoyable, but nothing groundbreaking. Obviously it's a predictable film, but doesn't slow down or get boring at any particular point.
The movie is just a series of references of about all that is geeky, nerdy, 80's pop culture, some of 90's pop culture, a lot of movies, etc. I believe it reaches a frequency of one reference per minute. If not more. The script is plain and predictable, but one might enjoy all the references.
Ya, I heard reeeeeeally bad things about it, which is sad, because the book was really good. I guess I'll just have to put it alongside Ender's Game in the "pretend it never got made into a movie" category.
Friends of mine went yesterday and they were pretty enthusiastic about the movie. Generally they are pretty critical nerds, but you never know of course.
