Ok, really threw me with that usage of "trespass", but apparently that's a totally legit usage, just uncommon. This feels like "sanction", a word that can either mean "give official permission" (ie. the government officially sanctioned the event), or "censor and punish", (ie. the SEC heavily sanctioned the brokerage firm).
It does sound like it's incorrect, but it's not really uncommon usage for law enforcement/businesses, though. By default, a person being in a public store is breaking no laws until the property owner notifies you of a change of your status. So while "trespassing" is the act of being in a place you are notified you are not allowed to be, getting "trespassed" is the shorthand for having your implied welcome on a property revoked. Further incursions on the property are then actively "trespassing." In the same way "getting subpoena'd" has become common vernacular, even though a subpoena is a specific thing you are served not a thing that happens to you. Some words just become shorthand.
Oh. oh yes. This was enjoyable. This was worth watching her be terrible all those times
Ugh, the way she says "this isn't some garbage on the sidewalk, you're messing with my life here" as if her video games are more important to her life than the small business Ethan runs to keep a roof over his head and food in his belly. She is the WORST! (remember that she also broke windows, they're lucky nobody took that as an opportunity to steal things, and was posting negative reviews and fake coupon codes and promotions online, not just "garbage on the sidewalk)
Well the glass did hold up, so nobody got in, but point taken about the rest of it. I was more curious that Ethan seems to have acquired a permanent raised Spock eyebrow in this strip. :D
I was expecting her to "force choke" Ethan there, similar to the cop earlier.
There's no earthly way she's got a power, she wouldn't have the self control to not use it at the drop of a hat.
Love it! You did make a oopsy in the text when Ethan tells her he is going to remove her from the permissies. I'm not a native speaker, but I don't think 'I am officially trespassing from ...' is correct.
Yeah, that caught me off guard, as well. You made an oopsy in your oopsy, though, 'cause it's *Lucas* who's removing her from the *premises*. 😉 English spelling can be tough...
