Anyone else think the woman they're looking for is an accidental murderer? Otherwise it seems too straightforward for this strip.

My thought exactly. Maybe she has yet to learn how to control her powers, or didn‘t know she has them beforehand. Add in the stress she was certainly experiencing due to being evicted and the likely panicking when attacking police officers with her powers, and this ticks all the boxes of a tragic accident. Now… If Analog and D-Pad apprehend her, and learn about this, it could also make for some fine conflict drama regarding Lucas and Ben…
